| The farewell S&G tour took place in 2010-11 Artie chose (ill health not withstanding) to bow out of that! This is the Paul Simon farewell tour - I'm happy with nearly 100% paul.
On a more serious note - should one wear (& wear out) tshirts bought at concerts or should they be carefully ironed & displayed with other PS memorabilia? |

| No, I am not seeing something that is not there.
The entire show is based on showing the crowd: 'see: all of this, it was *me*'.
Me, me, me.
Sure, he has the right to do this. He is the musician, composer, and this is his tour.
But nothing prevents me to find it a bit distasteful.
Let's not forget that 99,5% of the people at these show are not aficionados like us. S&G and Graceland are the two things that probably made them go there.
Strange that I was with 6 other people at the show and they questioned me about it.
Mot people do not know about their personal dispute and some were actually hoping that Garfunkel would show up for a few songs (https://postmedia.us.janrainsso.com/static/server.

As for BOTW, what is saying does not make sense. All of a sudden he wants to reattach himself to the song. Reality is that he has sung this song in many arrangements throughout his live career. He has had plenty of opportunities to make that song his own. And he did. If he had not sung it for the last 50 years, I would have said that it makes sense. No, he wants the crowd to know: 'you know that iconic song? *I* wrote it'. That frustration over BOTW is even mentioned in the biography published in May.

| I will have to judge in July in London.
But what I found interesting is, that 3 out of his last 4 encores are S&G songs. He never has done that before.

| I think there was some Legality that prevented Paul performing some S&G songs. Artie signed that away as advised by his lawyers- he mentions this in his book, which he regretted doing. Not sure of exact details |

It is just Paul Simon`s Farewell Tour: please let him do the things he is wanting to do and to tell his stories.
He never did so please let Paul doing his things HE lies NOW for ONE time! I am very glad he is doing soin this way. About your "Artie-problem".
Please keep this person outside the discussion. I`ve also read a lot about all problems these two guys had in the past until 2010. At that time Paul closed the door forever.
I agree with you not so many fabns are familair with Paul Simon`songs; the same is happening during a Art Garfunkel show. Most of the visitor are unaware of the great legacy Paul Simon gave to his fans. Let`s never forget and enjoy this legacy in your and/or may way.
Mog: nobody mentioned here Paul Simon found a new African guitarist for the late Vincent.It is also so an African guitarist coming from Nigeria. His name is Biodun Kuti. Guess maybe on honor to Vincent "the cool cool rvier" i still in the setlist played by this new guitarist.
Bodo: you want to see a vid of a total new arragement of "Bridge Over troubled Water". Paul is playing with Ymusic. I I have a vid for you. In a few days the first row of USA-concerts wil have gone just a few to go.
On the 30 of June Paul Simon will arrive in Europe. Cannot wait for seeing him in concert: I never did before. Of course I hope he will also play with the music sextet #Ymusic too. This music group made from the "Bridge Over Troubled Water"a complete different song. I was blown away I heard Paul this playing and performning. Bodo: I will fulfill you request by posting it here. Vid does not have an excellent quality but it is the sound that matters; ain`t?
