I started this topic a while ago on the AG forum - but no one seemed to have an answer.
Why does Paul´s music have so few guitar solos(not riffs or arpeggios or stuff like that)? The only ones I found are: at the end of "America" on the CP concert, on "Jonah" at what I think is the Mtv unplugged and quite a few guitar solo´s(Harper?) on The Capeman
I also think that he himself has the guitar skills and technique to take one.
Can you think of any other guitar solos?

Never thought about that.Interesting point, though. My interest in music is acoustic folk based so I tend to hear fingerpicking or chords...I suppose if my interest came from a rock-based area I might notice the apparent lack of solos. There is a nice solo in "How the heart approaches when it yearns" from One Trick Pony, only short, but it sounds great. There are plenty of lead guitar tracks but not many solos as in most other artists songs. That´s a real thinking point.

One of the solos on the capeman album is palyed by master paul himself - i think on "satin summer nights".
But most famous solo for me is the one by AlDi Meola on Allergies
