| just got the "Songbook" today. Its great!! The lyrics are better suited to Paul´s voice that the sweetish sound of S&G. haven´t seen any reaction to the release in any of the media. I think a lot of people who liked S&G don´t like paul but there are a lot out there who´d like Paul ( eg Bob Dylan fans) but think of him only in terms of S&G. If they heard the PSSB they´d think differently.

| Been listening to the Paul Simon Songbook for years.I have the first Vinyl pressing.Good to hear it on CD though. It has always been my favorite record, especially as it was always....and still is, on vunyl..so rare. Great to hear the bonus tracks too. Does anyone out there have a bootleg of S&G Madison Sq Garden, Dec 3rd, 2003?? I have six tracks so far but have been unable to contact the character in Korea who has it, along with several more Old Friends tour shows. |
