Damn... Yesterday I wrote an email to the producer of A Roll Of The Dice if they could tell me where to get the whole video. And the answer:

"Hi.
There was no film of The Capeman. The excerpts you saw are from footage I shot of the dress rehearsals. Sorry."

I will look for a video till I die, but I guess the only Capeman-Stuff we get are that film A Roll Of The Dice and the original broadway cast.

You need the free version of WinRar. You can download it here.

.rar files are similar to .zip files but the compression is better.

Fubel: no....there is a film at the NYC Library of the musical !

One day, I will go see it.

Or, it will be released as a bonus to the 45th boxset-compil (in 2025).

I have a playbill from the Broadway show, which my dear friend Pauline Williams sent to me (some of you will remember she passed away 2 years ago) - I took that with me in September 2000 when I went to see The Capeman in Manchester (England) performed by the Manchester Youth Theatre. Their performance was amazing, and of course I knew all the story and the songs! There were rumours in the press that Paul was going to turn up, but we never really believed that - of course, he didn´t.

I want to do a NYC-Trip next year and today I called the New York City Library.

They said, that they don´t have a film of the Capeman, only photographs. That there is a real film seems to be a rumour.

A friend of mine who had links to the Agron family actually went to the NYC Library in 1998 and watched the video of Capeman, so there is (or was) a video of the whole show.
I saw Capeman on Broadway and in Manchester, and it deserves to preserved in some way. I do have a poor quality dvd of one of the B´Way performances, but it really is difficult to watch....someone recorded it with a camcorder near the back of the theatre

I wish I could watch the capeman. I was 7 years Old when it came out, never had the chance to watch it.

And Jeremy Marre - the producer of A Roll Of The Dice - don´t have other material from the dress rehearsal.
