Okay, maybe I make a complete fool out of myself, but I think Paul performed a new song in yesterdays show in Montreux.

After performing SOS he said something like: "I was 21 years Old when I wrote this song. Now I don´t write that often anymore, but this is a new song which I finished one month ago.
And then he did a song on the acoustic guitar which I have never heard. Unfortunately I can´t remember the name or the lyrics.

As I said, maybe I am completely wrong, and Paul was just joking and performed a well known song which I just did not recognize... If that´s the case I apologize for this thread.

And by the way, he performed BOTW ! Together with a lady, cannot remember her name either :o(

So he definitely added two songs to the setlist. Don´t know whether he will keep them in the setlist or whether this was just a Montreux-special.

Well, I am not an expert (and just joined the site, so a big hello :)) but I can try to paraphrase a bit of the refrain:
"I fell in Love the first time a saw her, that´s just an Old songwriter´s cliche, but I can find no other way to describe it."
And I think there was something about "orange blossoms"...
Very rough, sorry :( but I was to excited to remember the lyrics.
He was accompanied by Patti Austin on BOTW.

A new song! That´s the best news ever! Lol I think I´m even more excited about this than I am about the concerts themselves, cos this means there will prob be more albums and more tours to come :)

Good news, I hope he will play it at more concerts this tour. Could it be that the name of the new song is "Love In Hard Times", that is how the series of concerts were called in the BAM Theatre in Brooklyn.

Jocke, Kathi was referring to the comment Paul made that ´I don´t write that often anymore, but here´s a song I finished about a month ago´. Yes it is a new song - called Love in hard times (explains the title of the BAM concerts)! Personally I wouldn´t take the comment about not writing very often too seriously... maybe he means not so often in comparison to when he was 21? It sounds more like a quip to me than anything else.

Yes I liked it. Just the fact, that he is still writing new songs is great.

Just put a review of the Montreux show online.
