According to my daily newspaper, Art Garfunkel is going to perform in Gothenburg on oktober the 17th (I think it was, but it could have been the 13:th).

Anyway, if 13 (his patron`s birthday) or 17 or 18 doesn`t matter.

I would not buy new batteries for my hearing-aid.

What has your hearing-aid with anything to do?

You need a hearing-aid which has a extreme wide range above 20.000 Hz ;)

Ok, if you don´t like Art, that´s fine. That´s your privlige, and I respect that. But why bother to write and tell that to everyone on the forum, when the thread really was about some (positive) news, for those who are interested? If you´re not interested, just skip it and do something else.

I wrote more before, but the website had an error :(

Hakan - please expect such answers on a Paul Simon site, and they are just funny - it might be that you are sad as no one answered ´Hipp Hipp Hurray´ ?? (I´m sure someone will do now :-D )

BTW: This tour is IMO even more important than Pauls 2nd leg of the Surprise tour... hence, thats the first tour in 15 years, and maybe definately the last one, and : I can not visit them :D

Sorry Bodo to be correcting you but leonard has three dates in IMMA Dublin, you left out June 13th Friday. I´ve tickets for the Sunday but as the concert is less than a kilometer away from me, I should be able to experiance all three shows. and I agree this may be a once in a life time experiance. Tickets very expensive thought 120Euro!! each.
You sure picked a bad time to go to South America!!:-/

Hipp Hipp Hurray !
...sorry, could not resist...

Seriously, if Artie comes to Switzlerand (or close) I might be going to see his show.
I´m not a big Artie fan, but hey, I am going to see Paul at least 3 times this summer and I just want to be fair. :o)

By the way, I am a fan of Leonard Cohen. Hope that he and Simon will meet, f.e. in Lörrach. Many regard him as the best poet in Rock. Although his voice is even more limited than Dylan`s.

I dont understand why I should "expect such answers" anyway. If Paul & Art (finally) has made up their differences (which I hope they have) is it to much to ask to have the fans do the same? If news about Art is verboten or not welcome on this forum it should clearly say so. (By the way, on Garfunkel´s website one is always welcome to discuss Paul Simon matters too)

Hm - I am not sure how I can help you Hakan. I think I did not offend you or forbid anything.

Everyone is free to express their opinion, thats what I wanted to show with posting the Leonard Cohen dates. I expect that there might be some bad postings about Cohen too. Eh, I even expect some bad postings about Paul Simon when he is on tour, because he never visit any other countries where he has a lot of fans...

You can not ask all Paul Simon fans to like Art Garfunkel.
You also can not ask all Art Garfunkel fans to like..hm, Iron Maiden or whatever.
But interestingly - all Art Garfunkel fans seem to like Paul Simon. :)
