This is indeed fantastic news! I just hope I can afford it - I´ll have to decide quickly!! Does anybody know if this is part of a festival. What I´m really trying to find out is if he will be playing a full concert.

It was good of Tommy to give up his slot I thought!

If it is like the New Orleans Jazz Festival, he performed a whole concert. There was a mammoth crowd, and it was a great show. If you go, get there early so you can get a good viewing spot.

It´s a 2-day annual festival (with camping), not as big as the more famous Glastonbury festival. You can buy a day ticket. The bands start performing at midday on the Saturday, and Paul will headline at 9.30pm on the Saturday night - I read somewhere that it will finish at 11pm. Cornbury is in Oxfordshire. There´s a forum on the Cornbury website, and people who go to the festival each year don´t seem too happy about Paul headlining. They think he won´t appeal to younger people! Somebody on there actually said soemthing like "who wants to listen to the crooning half of a duo who your mother used to make Love to"!

Dara, If you´re re referring to the concert in the Peoples Republic of Cork, I think "Live at the Marquee" is a week long annual event with different artists every evening. As for TT giving up his spot, i doubt if he had much of a choice.

As to the young people in Oxfordshire - At least Paul was still big in the ´80s, the following night they have 10cc who were more likely to have been providing the background music to their mothers Love life in the ´70s
