Hi all

In June, my girlfriend and me will be travelling through the US.
It´s only a short trip (16 days). Our first step is New York city where we stay for 2 or 3 days.
Now my question: What places are Paul Simon related ? Surely it´s central park, queensboro bridge, the brill building... are there any more ?

The story was he was coming home along this bridge after a party early in the morning but already in daylight.

Go to the Village in lower Manhattan. S&G used to play in Folk City, plus it´s a cool place to hang out. When I was a teenage, I would go to all the "Simon" places. I swear on this - one time I was walking down Seventh Avenue and "The Boxer" was playing.

Watching the Omnibus Special from 1988 it shouldn`t be too difficult to find his home, where he grew up. And maybe the place where he - just like Duncan - had his first sexual experience.

You can take the the subway to the Forest Hills section of Queens. Queens is one of the five boroughs of New York. Most people think of the borough of Manhattan when they think of New York. I was born in the borough of Brooklyn. Simon always gets a little teary-eyed when he plays in New York. He calls it "home" and always remarks that there is something special about a New York audience.

Where does he live, I thought it was
still NY? I´ve been to Central Park
a few times lately before I had this
newer nostalgia hit me. I was only
looking for Strawberry Fields and
the Dakota. Then recently saw some
of the footage of this concert on
youtube, what a strange looking stage! water towers, pipes, I couldn´t figure it out but I´m told
it´s gone now.

Paul and family live in Connecticut. His office is in New York in the brill Building- a very musically historical building. I am not sure if he still has an apartment in New York.

I´m heading to NY in a weeks time. Since he is in residence for the month of April, do you think I could call on Mr Simon to show me all the best places to visit:)))

Tongue in cheek my dear, but I will be seeing him in the Brooklyn Academy of Music in the Capeman. If there is a very small audience sure he might take us all out for a drink. I can only dream!1
