At 1:23 I believe Paul forgets the words or just doesn´t start singing for no reason. My choir director did that once, the piano was done with its interlude and she just didn´t queue us in. Probably thinking about something else.
I believe the entire show is available on Dime but don´t quote me on that. Most of the show is on youtube.

His " run in thirds" just "didn´t happen." It means that he made a mistake guitarwise en proceeds to tell the audience how embarrased he is and has exchanges some jargon with Tee. I Love the woman who seems like she suddenly realises she is on camera and laughs her butt off as a token of appreciation.

Here´s what I think what happened:

This little peace (4 notes) that Paul plays to go from G to C (between the verse and the chorus)didn´t work properly: For each of the notes Paul hits two strings, a low one and a higher one. The lower one with his "dumb-pick" and the higher one with his thrigger finger. When he played it in the song, somehow only the higher string rang, the lower one could not be heared on the first note, . Obviously that confused Paul. After that, he plays it on more time and that time it works fine, both strings can be heared on all notes.
After watching/listening again, I am pretty sure that´s what happened.

I hope you understand my explenation, it´s difficult to explain (in english).

I meant to write: the lower string could be heared ONLY ON THE FIRST NOTE, it didn´t work for the other notes.
