Three baseball diamonds along Boston´s Eslanade will be named in the memory of 14-year-old Teddy Ebersol.

Ebersol was killed November 28th when the plane he was riding in crashed in Colorado in light snow, fog and freezing temperatures.

His father, NBC Sports Chairman Dick Ebersol, and his brother, Charlie, survived.

The announcement came yesterday at the teen´s funeral at St. Anthony of Padua Church. The three baseball fields are located on a stretch of the Charles River and are used for pick-up games and for adult play.

Red Sox officials say the fields will be named ´Teddy Ebersol´s Red Sox Fields.´ The youngest Ebersol was an avid Red Sox fan.

Among those who came to Ebersol´s funeral were Katie Couric, N-B-C news anchor Brian Williams and Bob Costas. Singer Paul Simon performed a song in his memory.
