 | The album is moving well in Ottawa, up here where Spring is on vacation temporarily. Hope Paul and entourage do not freeze in TO, when they vist in May. The song in question on SBOSW could use Artie´s voice, when he recovers it...just the type of ballad he can sing so well...The album itself is to flight.

 | I think SBOSW rave reviews including comments on Simons voice holding up so well - along with doubtful recovery by Artie, may really be the end of S&G.
It was, after all, only 5 yrs of a 50 yr career. An important 5 yrs. but look how long simon has worked with/collaborated with so many other musicians (Mark Stewart, Vincent Nguini). I think 45 yrs pretty much outweighs 5. |

 | It really is strange to put it in perspective like that. To think of how short the Simon & Garfunkel years were yet they´re my favorite group of all time...
I refuse to compare Paul Simon solo with S&G. All I know is that I keep coming back to the work of my favorite songwriter in the world.
Favorite artist: Paul Simon
Favorite group: Simon & Garfunkel |

 | LOL !!! Yep, I was a bit depressed when I saw some snow this morning in our Ottawa landscape. Brrrrr....
Not very high on the scale of human sufferances. |

 | Mike - I think that´s exactly the ´gift´ of Simon that sets him apart from so many. I too treasure the earliest songs. But he never became an ´oldies´ show. I am 56. I feel as though the man has spoken TO ME my whole life. Never really felt let down - his popularity or album success never really mattered. He has said that he tries to find something to say to and for his generation - he also once said, the thing that ties his music together is ´the truth´ (from his heart and mind). Indeed. What a career. |
