Tickets are free by ballot at this link http://www.itunesfestival.com/gb/lineup

All iTunes fest performances are made available for download (on iTunes funnily enough) so along with Glastonbury there will be some good documents of this tour.

Yeah...how many concerts of Simon in London, Paris or Ireland in all this past years ? Some of them.In this European Tour he gives two dates in some of this Countrys... In Spain ? 0 concert in the last 20 years. Maybe in Spain we are less fans of his music, but, if he go to play in little threaters as seem, i don´t see the problem. Could perfectly sold out in this kinds of threaters in Madrid o Barcelona.

Hi Forum Guest from Spain.

I posted about that issue yesterday on Pauls facebook page too.

I know fans in the prefered countries are lucky to have shows, sometimes so many that they even do not have to travel within their country.

I also do not unerstand why Paul is not visiting any other countries. It seems as for him and his management only about 8 countries in Europe exist.

I doubt that it is all about money, because many other artists at his age and prominence are touring in areas less wealth than London.

I once thought Paul is trying to visit as many as unknown places and interesting cities to him (so he could add some culture input to his travels). But now he is visiting the same cities again and again. All the cities on this tour have seen a Paul Simon concert in the last 3 years or so.

I think this is very strange.

BTW: I do not think there is no interest from other countries. I often get emails from concert promoters who think this might be his official address, and they want to have a Paul Simon show (for example someone from Belgrad wrote me). It seems as if these requests are ignored? Or they really do not reach his management?

Well, I still have to wait now before I can buy any tickets or book a flight. Maybe in the end a date in Austria or Hungary will follow? (0,1% chance...)

Paul Simon hasn´t visited Gothenburg (the second largest town i Sweden) since 1980 (or 1981?).

From what I know, EVERY concert in Sweden since then (a total of five or six, I think) has been in Stockholm (including one S&G).

Bodo, the rare of all this is that Barcelona is one of the favourites europeans citys of Paul Simon.

In 2005, Mark Stewart visited my hometown ( Sevilla, in Spain ) to give a concert as a former of "Bang of a Can: All Star", band where Evan Ziporyn is play too. After the show I could talk to him, and one of the things that I tell him was that Paul Simon have me desperate because he never travel to Spain. Mark told me that Paul loved Barcelona and was a city that he knew very well.

As a curiosity, I can tell that Harper Simon came last December to present their debut album to Spain too, and between different dates chosen Sevilla, where he played exactly in the same theater that had acted Mark Stewart. Also I spoke with him, and confessed that he had loved to visit the country.

Comes even Harper and Paul is not ... I don´t know if laugh or mourn.
