 | Great concert with a few solo songs included. Pauls vocals were great.
There was a glitch when singing Bridge Over Troubled Water. Paul´s mike cut out part way through his middle verse, but the crowd was great and sang the verse with him. Came right for the final verse. He was very appreciative.
Paul was in a great mood. Much different from when I saw this show in New York Dec 2003.
The band was as reported in this group but with the welcome addition on Tony Cedras, Vincent Nguini. Though Vincent was underutilised.
The Surprise was the inclusion of a Buddy Hollys Not Fade Away in the middle of Mrs Robinson. Also got a version of Be Bop A Lula.

 | Sounds like an awesome night Gerard! Glitches often manage to make things more special :)
I´m so glad to hear they´ve kept Hey Schoolgirl and added Not Fade Away, after watching the video of that at the BAM concerts I was really hoping Paul would sing it on tour. Can´t wait to see them! |

 | what great reviews! thanks Nikki. the photo on the first one is funny with Artie looking like a 10 year Old with his arm around his best buddy!
I just Love the line about Paul sums it all up:-
It was enough to make you wonder: how did this folkie get so funky?

 | Glad you liked them scaaty. They were both a bit critical of Artie but I´m still excited to be able to hear the famous voice live. Here are some videos of the concert:

(lol as you can tell I really have too much time on my hands... well not really, just taking a much needed break between two 5000 words essays which need to be done) |

 | HeHe, like your self I´m on line a lot cos "I´m on the last leg of a journey I started a long time ago" and am writing up a thesis for a PhD.
Taking breaks to watch that amazing BTOW just there is just what I need. Like the Dublin concert Paul Simon´s voice certainly is more polished that Art Garfunkle - he certainly wouldn´t be the better singer now! |

 | Paul played "Not Fade Away/Mrs. Robinson" at the Beacon Theatre this year, he didn´t play it at the BAM shows. Here is the link from Paul Fournier´s photobucket album. It´s the second video at the bottom of the page. Have fun :)

 | This guy certainly seemed to have enjoyed the Auckland show(s)! I´m going to both Brisbane shows, but have come down with the flu! What should I do-forfeit my tickets so as to not pass it around to others,or wear a face mask? I can´t believe my luck. I feel dreadful. Here´s the link for the blog by the lucky Auckland attendee. I hope it´s not a mobile specific address. http://www.stuff.co.nz/entertainment/blogs/blog-on -the-tracks/2502688/Simon-Garfunkel-in-Auckland |

 | First is it flu? You wouldn´t want to go if it were. so it must be a cold! you are only infectious at the start, at the real runny phase (excuse the graphics). Plus a cold is just a chance to take time out and feel sorry for yourself and who minds doing that. Go and enjoy! Just don´t pass it on to the two elderly gents on the stage! |

 | Yes Scaaty, unfortunately it is the flu. I´ve had the occasional cold, but have not had a flu since 97! My big fear is falling down the huge stairs that lead into the BEC. So dizzy. 2 days ago my temperature was 38degrees. Don´t know what it is atm... |

 | Oh dear... that´s terrible, I really hope you´ll get better soon. I was just listening to the news and apparently they think there are 300 new infections every day in Australia now, it´s crazy. I´m not sure whether they mean swine flu or all flus. Well you´ve got tickets for both nights right? How about you get a really good rest tomorrow and then see how you go? If worst comes to worst yes do just wear a mask and go, you can´t miss it! Unless you´ve been told by your doctors to put yourself into isolation of course :) |
