Over the years Paul Simon has played with many jazz-musicians.

He was honored having played with the famous Stephane Grappelli on Hobo`s Blues (which they both composed).

Steve Gadd and Richard Tee were part of the New York-group "Stuff". Steve Gadd is still on his side, as Richard Tee would be, if he was still alive, I´m sure. His piano-playing on "Gone at last" and his role as anchor in his concerts (with Steve Gadd) was very important, apart from his obviously mostly funny mood.

Eric Gale also died early, but did not play such an important role for Simon.

But Jean "Toots" Thielemans did. Also a very sympathetic guy, appearing with him on "Still crazy" (Night Game), the tour and in SNL and his Special in 1977.

Thielemans played "I Do It For Your Love" also oftenly in his own concerts (but not on Simon`s record).

I was glad to see via google, that, born 1922, he is not only still alive, but also giving concerts, this month too.

His motto on his web-side could be well said by/for Simon: " I feel best in that little space between a smile and a tear."

Hello too!

Let`s hope that Michael Brecker continues to live, as Ans said! Was one reason to write this.

David Sanborn is another great Sax-player, who worked with Simon, and he on one of his albums.
