 | Yes , it was great!. Thought the crowd was not very enthousiastic in the beginning and at a certain time had more attention for the medics doing there job than for S&G. The middle section on the field went wild when the Everlys showed up. That section seemed to be claimed by there fanclub. After that the rest of the public came out of there chairs too.
Don?t think Art?s voice was as good as it used to be, but he?s still a great singer.
The intro to Mrs Robinson was a bit confusing and didn?t look very profesional, but was a good laugh for those who didn?t run away to get beer. Our seats in row 29 where just perfect, but I fully agree with the comments on the sound. |

 | My opinion is that they should have never held a concert in the Arena because of the bad sound, though I can?t complain because I was on row 1 in the middle having eye contact with paul A LOT of times, when I waved to him, he held his hand very low in front of his stomach and he waved back with his fingers, man i almost needed a paramedic as well ).
Long before the show I have written him a letter telling him that I have a Graceland dvd with all the signatures of Ladysmith Black Mambazo and that I was missing one, his. I said in my letter that I hoped he would be able to sign it.
Well he did not have the oppportunity ( or at least I did not have the oppportunity, damn how did these people ( about 50 )get a VIP pass!!??? )
But anyway, at the end I held up my dvd and waved to him, then he pointed his finger to me, and made a sign with his hand gesturing holding a pen, so I guess he read my letter.
I had the best night of my life!
I don?t think Arties mike was louder than Pauls, he just sang very loud trying to overrule paul, that?s how I felt.
But what did you guys think of Mark Stewart and his damn electric guitar?

 | So you was that girl that Paul made so much contact with?! (If I got it right: the blond girl on the left corner of the middle section of the first row, that was standing when every body else in that section was sitting.) Lucky you, he did a nice job giving you attention, didn?t he? |

 | Wow Amber that is soooo cool!!! Shame you never got it signed. What a funny way to wave at you with his fingers on his stomach :-) |

 | Well, it was not the blond girl he was ginving the attention. There was a blond girl on the last chair, then a woman and I was in the 3rd chair.
I hope Paul comes back to Europe someday, and then with a solo tour.. |

 | Can?t complain about the sound as well, because I was in 120 on the right and low). I thought it was great, I loved the band and don?t think the electric guitars were too loud. It needed it from time to time, to be honest. Although the magical moments were for me when the band (loved to see Jim Keltner drumming!) left and it was only Paul and Art with a acoustic guitar.
I agree about those prices. Nobody buys a shirt for 80 euro, do they? Ridicilous. And those Arena acrds are stupid as well, I knew it on forehand anbd brought my own drinks with me. I didn?t have to go and get some that way as well, as many people did. I can?t understand that either, going away while watching S&G to geta beer... |

 | Amber, I do wonder how did you get on the first row? How did you get these tickets?
Though I shouldn?t complain cause I was on the 20th row in the middle (close to you Ans).
I think the mics of P and A were same tuned, but P?s voice is sharpener and A?s more floating. I didn?t have the feeling that there was any ?battle? for overruling or anything.
Art did have hard times with the sound. What do you guys think was happening at El Condor Pasa, when Artie didn?t sing some lines the first time?
I hope Paul (and Artie) does more tours in smaller venues like in 2000. With a max of 2000 people. I still have good memories on the Hamburg concert... :-)

 | I thought the mic was starting to ?sing? (I don?t know if you say it like that in English), because he held it too close to a speaker or something like that. Art was suprised and confused, and was not able to sing for a few moments because he lost it. That?s waht happened, and if I?m correct the problem persisted during the next song, but seemed to be fixed after that.
In the Dutch newspapers much of the reviews mention that Don and Phil Everly never looked at each other, and they suggested that they migt still argue. I didn?t notice that, did any of you? |

 | You?re right about the mic problem, Art was confused and missed the whole verse, he complained after the song to Paul about it, but the problem was soon fixed. Art was also very nervous after this for the high note on bridge, you could see that, but he pulled it of and was very relieved after the song, Paul applauded for Art after the high note, you could see that Paul was happy for Art.
I think the atmosphere among Paul, Art and the band was very good, Mark Stewart had some fun with Warren Bernhard at the song (I think it was Cecilia)
@iebie, So you were in the Everly section too, it was quite funny when the Everly?s came on stage, they got a warm welcome from their fans. |

 | I read somewhere (maybe even on this site) that Art walked to far backwards when the mic problem occured. Can hardly imagine that.
What do you guys think about Art?s voice?
I agree with iebie and don?t think that there was a ?voice-battle? between Art and Paul. |

 | Oke iebie, Wim and Jeroen, I?m convinced now. It was a most unlikely place to play music. What was I thinking. Also the Telegraaf (no it?s not my newspaper) referred to that today. |

 | Hi Iebie,
when the sale of the tickets started I was on vacation.
So I asked my mother in law, my brother in law and my sister to try to get tickets for me.
My sister was at the postal office before it opened.
They provided everyone with a number and my sister was second.
when she asked for the best tickets, she said the best tickets ( 85 euro ) were unavailable, the man from the postal office said that in his whole carreer he had never been able to give people the best for a concert because they are never available.
My brother in law and my mother in law had really bad tickets.
I sold 4 tickets ( 2 from the mother and 2 from the brother ) and I kept mine for row 36.
Just two weeks before the concert I checked ticketservice online and I found tickets for row 3.
One wekk laer I tried again and found the first row tickets but when I call ticketservice they laugh at you and say all the good tickets are sold out. I don?t know how they work, its very confusing.
But I had the best night of my life!!!
