 | It is a catchy song,Jon. If probably doesn´t play it because the song leaves a bad taste in his mouth,dvd to the Los Lobos nonsense/accusation. It would be great if he´d reclaim it as his own,and start playing it live. |

| Yeah,that´s true too,but as I said,it may invoke bad memories for him.
I think that all these rather dubious accusations from certain circles of musicians that have at one stage or another,worked with Paul,can mostly be put under the heading of misunderstandings. Through his solo career from 72 to 85,Paul like a very long list of others,didn´t use or have a ´band´(excepting the OTP band maybe)and used session musicians for backup in the studio or on the road. I think that when he worked with Los Lobos for example,his mindset was in ´business as usual´ mode,meaning that Los Lobos were a collection of musicians,and not a ´band´ in Paul´s mind. Their role was to come up with the goods as far as their individual talents allowed. Caesar Rosas in this example was no different,in Paul´s mind,than say Hugh MaCracken,or David Spinozza or Jeff Miranov,or any other guitarist who is paid to adorn the song with their playing. I´m not saying it would have been a conscious decision on Paul´s part,just that,that is the way he had always worked with other musicians. Los Lobos got their credit,and an extra acknowledgment in the liner notes on the Graceland album.
The same can be said of Vincent Nguini´s statements to Proof(´is the bottom line for everyone´) recently I think.
Anyway,well,whatever,nevermind,it´s just one of my theories.
