Oakland, ca - after the band did Love is Eternal, someone in the crowd yelled, "do that one again!" "All right" said Paul, who had already changed guitars, and called for his other guitar back and did the whole song over again.

they did Gumboots and also Gone at Last, "for Phoebe Snow."

Wow, thats cool.

Sad that those things work only for 1 time, and not on all shows and all songs ;)

Setlist duely posted. Besides the great story with "Love Is Eternal Sacred Light" (which, might I add, was listed twice no the setlist site as well), last night marked the 2011 Tour debut of "Questions For The Angels" (appeared after the "Hearts & Bones"/"Mystery Train"/"Wheels" run & before "Rewrite", essentially in the place usually occupied by "Love And Hard Times)...and finally the return to full setlist length with a 27 song show!!!

Paul said before questions for the angels "I´ve never played this song before" and then, not quite able to let that stand, said´Well, WE"VE never played this before" gesturing to the band. Great guitar in Peace Like A River, but I wish it had not been quite so lost in the mix. Sometimes on this show, its a little hard to figure out which musician is making which sound, To me its surprising to see a drummer featured on guitar, and he really was, as a soloist, or lead, which is pretty impressive in a band with Mark , Vincent and Paul. I wish as a on stage performer Vincent would up his position a little, he was wearing a baseball cap, and spent most of the evening looking down at his guitar, I guess that is him. But with the performers in this bank, including Paul, the stage is a little static, not that it detracts from the music.

In the newspaper review of the show in SF, ( grudgingly positive review from a guy who does not seem to have anything good to say about Paul - so who is he writing for??)it mentions that Paul said he was having some voice problems, so maybe if the show was short in sf that is why.

Last note again - if you are a critic who does not like an artist, I am not talking about neutral or an open mind, but just don´t like- who are you writing the review for? Let someone a little more open write that review. Most people who don´t like the artist are not going to read the review anyway, and you are certainly not helping anyone who does like the artist and would like to know something about the particular album or performance.

Okay, I feel better now!
