Hello, everybody! New guest here. Watching the Colbert performance (having never attended a PS concert) I was drawn to Mark Stewart´s presence. Have you looked into his funny and avant garde work-- visible on YouTube and elsewhere? He is a trip!
As a Christian pastor, I have been freshly impressed with the spiritual depth of PS´s songwriting on Getting Ready For Christmas Day, which stacks various elements in layers: the phased, altered guitar riff; the antique-but-timeless preaching; the story of the workingman and his soldier nephew; the social context of hustling toward a ´holiday´ in the midst of recession and wartime. I say, "Another Paul Simon work of art. Hmmmm."

Thanks for your hint for Mark Stewart. I saw a few videos from him and Rob Schwimmer in the past and just found the newest ones from Polygraph Lounge on YouTube.

´Paperbag Writer´ is hilarious, their performance in France is magnificent and I loved their interview.

On this page you can find all the videos I am talking about.

All the sites hosting this video are blocked for me here in the UK - so many thanks to Patata for uploading that avi file.

It´s a good clip - fun interview and nice performance.
