 | Paul Simon also appeared at the
Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation´s 14th Annual Fall Gala on Saturday night. A cellphone picture was posted on facebook, so I was so free to link to this gem.

This year Paul Simon is trying to break the year record of black-tie gala dinners (Sting still holds this record with 38 galas a year) - so hold your thumbs for him. ;-)

 | Bodo, you should add this dates to your Live section: "The autumn charity tour with Mark Stewart".
I like that stuff. Paul looks to be in great voice. Looking forward to a tour after the release of the new album! |

 | Hehe, someone spend the whole time at this unique concert to hold his pocket-camera and record the show. Good for us...minimum entertainment for him/her I would say. :-)
Would you do that?
BTW: What strange format is that? is that 2,2:1 in vertical format??

 | I want to say a big thank you to the person who shared those videos. I just Love his version of ´Here comes the sun´- almost as good as the one on SNL with George Harrison... |

 | Looks like he may have shot it in portrait mode, maybe. It´s so great him doing Peace Like A River. Mark Stewart´s great isn´t he? I´d Love Paul to do a complete tour with just he and Mark on guitars, maybe a bass as well. Mark´s a virtual one-man band, and can sing too. I hope he always continues to play with Paul. |

 | What a great Surprise to see that Paul played "Peace Like A River" at this performacne!! I was beginning to think that Paul did not vary from his "set"list for these types of events, but that is clearly not true! I can´t imagine a better choice as a surprise for fans that want to hear something different. That being said, this song was performed by Amos Lee during Paul´s residency at BAM. I complimented Amos on a great choice of song after the show, and he told me that it was Paul´s choice (as was Nobody which Amos also performed). So, maybe this one is back on Paul´s radar screen for future performances as well! Do we know who is doing such a great job singing that duet with Paul on this latest video? I wonder if she might have recommended that he play it that evening, since she seems to know it so well. Either way, it is very cool that Paul played it and we have this great video to enjoy it! :) |
