 | Paul Simon is on the list of potential musical guests for ´Spectacle: Elvis Costello with ´, it would be great to see him on the show. Elvis must have some respect for him, because he sang ´Peace Like A River´ and ´American Tune´ on a PS tribute album (recorded at Montreal JAZZ Festival in 2006. Is that the one Paul didn´t turn up to?)
Rufus Wainwright was on and performed through the interview and later with his mother. This was interesting as he spoke about being the son of a famous songwriter and how he´s developed his style of songwriting against his father´s.
I´ve missed most episodes but I like the episode with Diana Krall (who is Elvis Costellos wife) and Elton John who was a favourite of mine in early days. The Bruce springsteen appearance will go over two episodes, I´ll be looking out for that. Listen to him talk about getting a gig in a small town, asking for $1 at the door. there are video snippets you can view. Just wonderful stuff.

Also on the website, Paul is mentioned comparing him with the Department of Eagles singer Daniel Rossen being ´well on his way to becoming the next Paul Simon´ with ´haunting´ vocals

 | Hi Brenda, thanks for the link, so much I haven´t seen on utube. I like Mellancamp´s ´We are the people´, good lyrics, haven´t heard that before.
On the show last night, I thought it was Steve Gadd on the drums and then I checked the credits at the end. Did you notice they said that Carole King wrote ´Crying in the Rain´ for the Everly Brothers and then performed it. It was a hit in 1962, around the time she was working with Paul Simon. |

 | Yes I remember when it was released by the Everlys, great song.I think that video was taken in the late 1980´s judging by Paul´s appearance. he looked great in it. Did you notice that the girl playing the fiddle and Paul seemed to be eying each other up.Lucky girl! |

 | Hey Brenda, this was a gem find, a real Surprise. I don´t think they´ll be showing season 1. Was he really on the first season episode 1? Anyway after having my head in the sand for last 15 years musically, I don´t know most of the artists that have been on.
I checked out the Martha Wainwright videos. I´ll keep an eye out to see if Paul Simon session comes on anyway. |

 | I really do hope they show Paul Simon on Live from Abbey Road. The Slip Sliding Away clip above would be the most beautiful version of it I´ve heard or seen.
There is a DVD of the first season available but PS session not on it.
