I asked this question a couple years ago and it generated a lot of answers, and w/ all the new members I thought it might be time to ask again.

O.K. If you could pick 1 (ONLY one) person for Paul to sing one show with, who would it be and Why? ONLY ONE!!! Mine would be the same as it was before PETER GABRIEL, Hands down, no question about it. Love his music also and know they admire each others music I´v watched them both grow artistically thru the years can only dream of the collaboration they would come up with. I would actually get on an airplane to see that.

I haven´t followed Gabriel´s career very well. But I just visited his website which is very good. Paul could learn a lot from him concerning how to tread his hardcore fans...;-) There are monthly video updates, you can buy live cd´s from Gabriel´s tour he has done this summer and a nice photo share section. I also checked him out at youtube, he sounded pretty well, although his voice changed a lot.

Very nice video Mog, I would also Love to hear Paul´s whole performance. It looked like a great evening worthwhile to see the whole thing.

But back to your question Reika, maybe Peter Gabriel could get involved in the upcoming tour for Darfur.

I don´t know if I have one favourite person for a duet with Paul and certainly not a whole show, I still prefer Paul solo. And for now I´m looking forward to the hopefully new tour with Hugh Masekela. And who knows, maybe we will get a new live DVD....

Thanks for the link MOG ! :-)

Peter Gabriel is a wonderful artist and his concerts have always been great but he´s very different on stage from Paul ;-) and that´s why I would have a problem to see them performing together...But that could be a great experience ! :-)

oh yeah mog, Peter may be a little past his prime but so am I so I don´t mind. His music brings back good memories for me. when my oldest daughter was murdered his song "I Grieve" really got me thru the MOST difficult time in my life. And you know what Paul syas..."Hold fast your memories, they´re all thats left you."

Sorry to hear that about your daughter. Yes, "I Grieve" is a very good song. I remember that Gabriel confessed this song was inspired in part by "Don´t Give Up" and the healing benefit of the latter on some friends of him.

With regard to your question, it is maybe because you do not have Quick Time installed on your PC. That would be my guess.

Hummm.....I know it takes some time to see the video when you click on the link. It takes a while for me and I have high speed internet.

By the way, this video is about an event organized for Witness, the human rights organization co-founded by Gabriel.

Let´s remember that Surprise was mixed by Tchad Blake who mixed also "Up" from PG.

hi scaaaty, theres a worldwide group called "The Compassionate Friends" went to one meeting but did´t feel comfortable at all. not good in group situations to be honest. and at the time it was too painful to talk about. And I´m NOT brave at all. I´m just a mother who HAD to go thru ..I don´t know how to describe it. It´s like being a reluctant member of a club where noone whos not a member can understand the sorrow that never truly goes away. It´s been 4 1/2 years,it´s an open homicide case in FL and i´ll proably never know what really happened.Enough about that but thank you so much for your kind words, lets talk about Paul, he´s why we´re here. Not trying to dismiss your kindness in any way but doubt if people log on to read depressing stuff like this thank you through scaaty!!!(we can start a new thread if you really want to discuss it in depth...lots of people are curious for some reason maybe cause it´s unsolved and VERY mysterious.Or i can just give you my email address. ANYHOW...I FINALLY got to see it Mog, thank you so much for turning me on to it. Wish I could see the whole thing also, such a different interpation than Peters, really liked what I saw of it. And you were right, it took a looooong time to load and i´m on high-speed also. I think that was the problem, i´m extreamly impatient with the computer. ("Instant Gratifacation" takes too long for me.haha)Did you check out the "Ladysmith Black Mambazo in Outer Space" cartoon on youtube Super funny if your a Saturday Night Live Fan. (which I am.) Thanks again .

Kudos to you Reika.

Not quite a duet (although Paul and Peter are my musical heroes, but those tours talked of twenty years ago never did happen) but I would Love to see Paul with Squeeze. Sir Elton joined them on stage, so there is a slight possibility ;@) wishes in dreams
