I got the impression that there are only some dates fixed and they are not official yet. So maybe they are not allowed to list it before the official confirmation, but the news got to the press anyway.

Steve Gadd still has a big hole in his touring plan in July and August, so that makes me optimistic.

Hey Wayne and all the others, sorry for replying late, I was in Ireland for two weeks.
Unfortunately I have bad news: I just called the Auditorium in Rome again and was told that the PS concert has been cancelled... I was surprised since apparently many Italian newspapers kept saying that it was confermed. But I´d say that the Auditorium ticket office gives the most reliable information.
Sorry for the bad news :-((((((

Well...as there was never any official confirmation on Pauls webpage - this whole story could have been a big bubble.

Or Paul is too expensive now for Europe :-(

Hm, yes it is cheap...but it was also cheap the years before. (However, I don´t think that is the reason...was only joking...but booking Paul is a big risk in some countries I think, if you can not sell all tickets the tour manager looses a lot of money)
But the Jazz Festivals are usually sponsored by the region...

Well, it would be sad if there is no Surprise Summer tour (but for me it is good, as I can not travel this summer that far... so concerts in fall will be better... but I like outdoor concerts much more (yes, you stand - and you are allowed to dance :-) )

Maybe that has something to do with the cancelling of Rome.
