 | Just got back...probably the most miserable audience that I´ve ever seen. |

 | les miserables.
So the audience at London wasn´t the worst one, I am not really glad to hear that ;-)

 | Sue was that you asking for a plectrum after the show? I was the guy who got Paul´s setlist. :-)
Best night of the tour for me tonight. The band put in the best of the five performances and the security was the most slack as we were allowed to do as we liked pretty much. I took photos, videos, stood up and danced and not one man in a yellow jacket stopped me :-)
The crowd wasn´t the best, a lot of Old people unfamiliar with the music and Paul really wanted people to get up and dance.
Bakhiti turned his bass up so loud on Graceland that it was all you could hear! |

 | It was on...just got missed out. Possibly because Paul was very tired (and also an unappreciative audience ) |

 | In London the crowd was very noisy during Wartime Prayers Really annoying whoops, whistles and cheers that were really inappropriate so maybe Paul just gave up :-( |

 | ... I somehow do not understand why he does not try to attract younger people - with his songs from Graceland or hit´s like Late In The Evening he could also capture a young audience (actually there have been a few young girls at the London gig), but his concerts are too expensive, and seated floors are not attractive for young people.
Paul is just too expensive (or is it Steve Gadd? ;-) ) |

 | I don´t think the crowd at Birmingham were unappreciative, may not have been the most lively, but we all had a good time. Paul seemed to be enjoying himself doing his bad dancing, and i think his rendition of Duncan was the best i´ve ever heard it. I´m glad i heard Duncan rather than Wartime Prayers. |

 | Bodo, there were quite alot of youngsters at last nights show...some young gilrs I´d never expect to be PS fans, more like Eminem...or how ever you spell it. They´d made their own tees and they looked fab. There was Silvia who I met up with. There were some youngsters in front of us, at the side of us and so on. I saw plenty.
Given Pauls age, you are always going to find there are more older people than young ones, that can´t be helped.
As for the crowed, they were enjoying themselves, you could tell that by how vocal they were. I must admit I didn´t get up straight away, but I was busy taking pictures...lol
But when people did start dancing it was brilliant.
The last show i´d been to was 1991 and this one was by far the best, especially as I had a really great seat. I´d originally started with Block E, C18. As everyuones knows I had to get a new ticket. Silvia also had to pick up her tickit too, she´s from Munic. Now I can´t remeber who´s idea it was, but we aksed if there was any better seats. The woman said there was but it would cost an extra £2. The way she said it anyone would think it was an extra £20...lol. We moved to Block B, J16 & J15...how cool is that. If I´d come with my original ticket I really don´t think I would have asked about better seats. But I will in the future. And although I wasnt as close as Julie, had something to do with me not realising people were moving...lol, I was only about 3 steps from the front of the stage and right in front of Paul..wow!
I think I´ll stop now. I´ll write a review tomorrow as I go home today.
I will add that A: I got some brilliant pics, I will load them later, and I´ve given Silvia the link to hear...

 | Oh and I don´t think the tickets were that badly priced. And seats are safer. If there hadn´t been seats, I wouldn´t have moved to near the stage as I wouldn´t have had somewhere to leave my bag and coat... |

 | Yes Matthew, that was me! I was to the left of you, practically begging for that pick that Paul had thrown down. Didn´t get that one, but did get another one from the stage crew, but I wanted THAT one! :-) I am so mad at myself this morning - can´t believe how close I was and I´d left my camera at my seat :-( My family are now sick of hearing me say "I should have had my camera". I just hope all of you around me got some good shots and that someone will email me some please? [email protected] Thankyou! |

 | Sorry Bodo, I put my little story about "Bunny" on the review part instead of here.
We waited outside the stage doors at the end and were told if we all stood behind the railings across the road, PS would come over and speak / sign etc.
Unfortunately his Mercedes (Registration number P5 EDD !) just drove off with him in .... he must have still been fuming at not getting Bunny. |
