 | Without meaning to sound controversial, I hope not, because I´d much prefer for him to consentrate on his solo stuff, which hopefully the success of this album will mean. I felt a bit sad when he last decided to get together with Garfunkel again, because although I Love Simon and Garfunkel´s tracks, I just think he has so much going for him in the present/future, and he shouldn´t have to go backwards too much to win audiences.

 | The last S&G tour was fantastic. However, I prefer the 1993 tour as a show.Even though they didn´t get on well at this time I think they produced a great set.The Beacon Theatre shows are superb to listen to.I should be biased towards the last tour having seen it but I am following my genuine feelings.I am glad S&G decided NOT to do another album, as for me,the duo ended IN 1970!Even the reunions in the early 70s through to the present are not THE Simon & Garfunkel for me.Nor was the "My Little Town","Wonderful World", Citizen of the planet", or the one line sung by Simon on Garfunkel´s "I wonder Why" in 1988.Any S&G reunions after 1970 don´t seem right to me somehow.I´m sure you will all get what I mean with this. |

 | No, and we won´t hear more about that, S&G are out of time.
They are good friends now and will maybe occasionaly perform together on a benefit show, that´s all. |

 | "We took a final bow, which we had already taken before."
They´ve done it before, more than once. So there is nothing saying that they will definitely never tour again. I, personally, hope they do. |

 | Yes there is.
Q: Any room for Simon & Garfunkel in your future plans?
A: Simon & Garfunkel, I did that, two years ago. Really, more than I´ve done me in the past five years. I did 72 concerts with Simon & Garfunkel. So that´s that.
I think we accomplished everything we needed to accomplish. We repaired our friendship. Were close again; that´s great. We took a final bow, which we had already taken before. But we took another one.
We got to meet the Everly Brothers and became friends with them. I got to rewrite the Simon & Garfunkel catalog from an arrangement perspective.
To me, that´s mission accomplished, to quote my favorite president.
I, personally, hope they don´t.
It´s great they are friends again, but musically it´s an Old act, to often repeated already.

 | Oh I prais this journalist. He was the first one who really had some interesting questions (Jamey Haddad) - and the first one who asked PAUL about the future of S&G.
Now you really see what different kind of people Paul and Art are. Everytime a journalist asks Art this question the answer is: UUUHH, that would be great, I hope so...I´ll stand on the stage in a minute and sing as S&G´
And what did Paul say now? "Thats it, it is over"
It was interesting to read why we could not hear Wartime Prayers in 2004 - he was not able to play the song live. So he might not have been very happy with the final result. I am sure VH1 would have aired that song too (unitl now we only got the information that VH1 had cut that song because it was anti-war/Bush , and that´s not true as we can see)
BTW. Who was that president (Mission accomplished)? Kennedy?

 | I really do hope they tour again despite what anybody says, If you don´t want them to tour, Don´t go! And i bet that if they did tour, You´d go.
I missed them the first way round but that is not my only reason, It would be a terrific goodbye and farewell to the best duo in music history! |

 | I bet a million $ I will not go.
And if the do NOT tour then it would not need 6 years until Simon releases a new album.
If you missed them it was your fault, it was clear that this WAS the farewell. there is no reason to make a farewell tour after a farewell tour, and a terrific goodbye after a terrific goodbye. It is just boring and artistically nonsense. I am just glad that Paul Simon thinks so too, and I am glad that he is with his music SO far away from any connection to S&G, just so that no one could say :"Uh Art Garfunkel would have sound so great on that song" - There is no song like that anymore. |

 | It may not be his fault he couldn´t go, that´s awefully presumptuous. I missed the last tour too, but it wasn´t my fault. I was too young to go then, but now I could take myself. I would Love it if they toured again!
And they never officially said it was THE farewell tour, and even if they had, they had a "farewell" tour in the 80´s...so what´s to say it won´t happen again? |
