BOTW was great too...i think many people (Paris concert) were surprised by Paul´s strong voice on it...he sang his part wonderfully...it was moving...AG was good too, but his problem is that he is always expected to make a performance...i believe it is not very comfortable...

Ah yes, thank you! Further research suggests that Mark Stewart invented this instrument! For the longest review of the Hyde Park concert (or any other concert!) I´ve ever read, go to http://www.aboutlastnight.org.uk/SimonGarfJy04.htm

Sooo, I finally got the DVD for X-Mas :-D
My highlights are Bridge (the two of them singing the last verse sounds sooo beautiful!), Cecilia and SOS.
But I have to say that the concert and the audience are much too static and boring IMO. They should´ve filmed a live concert instead...What dou you think?

I like I Am A Rock. There are lots of others too but that one really affected me when I went to my first concert (November 2003).

I like all the "new" rocky versions best: Hazy..., I Am A Rock, Mrs. R, KtCS, My Little Town.

The other classics are great too, but they were even better 35 years ago. To the above songs they have done something new, and IMO it works extremely well!

I think I Am A Rock worked better because it was *less* rocky than on the album. On the album it´s a faster tempo and sounds more upbeat. In concert it´s slower and more sad, which is what gets me - it fits the lyrics of the song much better.

Note to self - must shut up about IAAR!

I thought almost all of the songs were done really well in concert. There were only a few I didn´t like. Slip Sliding Away sounds better with Paul only singing. America was too falsely sweet. Old Friends/Bookends was a little weak.

But since this is about the highlights I´ll have to say Hazy Shade of Winter was good, it was kind of neat how they blended At The Zoo and Baby Driver together, always nice to hear My Little Town, Art sounded fine singing American Tune and Kathy´s Song, and The Boxer is an amazing song which sounded pretty good in concert.

Some "new" versions are not "new": Mrs Robinson or I Am A Rock are very similar to the Paul´s 1999-2000-2002 tours...and are less good...

That´s true, Marieno. Especially I Am A Rock from the Paris DVD is even better.

And Mrs. Robinson is also very good, I Love the way he played it in Edinburgh.

Hazy shade... is my favorite, but also watch/listen over and over to My Little Town, At The Zoo, Babydriver, Keep the customer.., Cecilia. (The ´rockier´ songs)
I Am A Rock has always been oke, but now I´m really starting to Love it. The way it is perfomed now gives it somehow more meaning.
