No he didn´t, but I´m sure that he knew how to use one. I understand that he didn´t like cauliflower either. Does anybody know Paul´s favourite vegetable?

Yes Pezza, but it´s worth the effort, this is on of the most interesting subjects (and longest, ok) on this forum. And still it´s not over.
I really don´t know what his favourite vegetables are - isn´t there something to learn from the episode with Paul in the Muppet Show?

For those who are wondering when Paul said that: you could have heard it in the concert, or you can find it on bootlegs from the Old Friends Tour. When they where in Amsterdam, they didn?t got to that part. When Paul was saying his lines in the joke about the start of their disagreements, Art whispered something in Paul?s ear. I think he said something like: ?They don?t get it.? Because there where only a few people laughing. And then Paul finished it up with something like they where to tired to fight any longer. Lucky we know how the joke should go, they made it only sixty times or so.

I heard this joke, word for word, on all three concerts at MSG in December. Then when the bootlegs came out I heard them again. So it was very refreshing NOT to hear them do this gag in Köln!! However the joke came back with a fury in München. In New York however, Paul said "now we are the smoochy brothers", or something like that. He never said that during the german concerts. Maybe because Nobody here would understand it?! Paul did say in München though that Art could still call them "Garfunkel and Simon". A joke that they have been making for about thirty years!! Some things never change.

Nath, i don´t know where you see a link between asparagus and Edie...i said asparagus because in the Muppets Show there were stange asparaguses...
I think Turkey is right, it must be broccoli...broccoli is good and it has not the same inconveniences than cabbage...if you see what i am talking about...:-)
