Sorry, but I don´t agree with that question, Paul is the leader of the band, he helped Art through the concerts because he stayed calm when Art got confused and made little mistakes during the concert (like in Amsterdam).
Art´s voice isn´t that good anymore and Paul has still a strong voice and his guitarplaying is still excellent.
They aren´t competitive anymore, they are friends now.

Totally agree with Ans (as usual, eh, eh,eh...)...as i said in my post about their concert in Paris, AG seemed to want to show that he is an egal part of S&G (he was the "showman" of the concert: talk to the crowd, try to sing louder than Paul...) but Paul, if more quiet, was musically and vocally the real "tenant of the house" when AG made mistakes, he put him in the right way...it is not a biased comment, some journalists said the same thing...
So, if i could ask a question to Paul...euuuhhh, i don´t know...maybe i´d try to find the definitive answer to our last posts: "Is Carrie or Edie the woman of your life?"...but i´m not sure he´d answer me... :-)

Marieno and Ans, you fell down into the trap : do never again answer that question about Art doing better than Paul or not ! :-)
But for sure, I´m agree with you both ;-)
And what Paul and Carrie have lived, I call that a passion with all its consequences (good and bad !)... :-)

LOL, you could be right, but he/she had a lot of reading to do (when started at the beginning of the thread;-)

I´m an easy target *g*, I´ll always defend Paul against Art!!

Why would Paul need to be defended against Art? As you said, they are friends now, and furthermore they are both good musicians. It´s not that one is better than the other. You may like Paul better, someone else may like Art better, so be it. Their styles are so different, they can´t be compared. They really don´t need to be defended!

By the way, Art didn´t make any mistake during the Amsterdam concert, he was having microphone problems!

Sorry, but in Paris he made a few mistakes or have some problemes with the higher notes...but after all, he´s just a human being...
Nath, you´re right, i didn´t see the "trap"...sometimes, i´m a naive little girl...now, like you, i avoid THE famous subject "PS vs AG"...always the same arguments, again and again...it bothers me, even if sometimes it amuses me because, we, PS´s fans, are sure to have the last word...ooops, sorry, here we go again... :-)

About Paul and Edie . . .

I´d like to say that Paul once called his Love for Carrie "a powerful love", but he has often spoke of how they were "always breaking up" whenever they disagreed, how they fought ALL the time, and how oppposite they were. May I also add that Carrie is MUCH YOUNGER than Paul as well? So I don´t think the age difference matters, in any relationship.

Just because it was a "powerful" love, doesn´t mean it was a happy, or vene healthy one, for them to have. And they parted on such bitter terms, too . . . especially after Carrie´s tragic miscarriage. I believe they loved each other, but I think it was an addictive kind of love, something that wasn´t right from the start.

I´d honestly say that I think Paul loves Edie more than he did Carrie. He seems to be more content, confident, and mellow than he was with Carrie, and it´s plain to see Edie would do absolutely anything for him. All she does is sing praises of him when she mentions him in interviews! Maybe his love for Edie is not as "passionate" as his love for Carrie was, but at any rate, it is a much more mature and stronger love than Carrie ever gave him, right?

Yes but Love is a so complicated story that Nobody can´t judge and nobody can say what´s better and who´s better. Some would prefer to live a passion even if it´s full of bad consequences and some would prefer to have a quiet love story without maybe really know what love is.But there may come a time in a lifetime too when maybe you are not strong enough for a love passion anymore and you hope for something much more quiet. Anyway, people who have already lived a love passion (because not everybody will in his (her) whole life)will always told you how unique, how wonderful and how strong it is and everybody who has known it will tell you they are ready to live it again even if it is sometimes destructive. But that´s an other subject... :-)

I don´t think there was a "trap" to get the discussion about PS vs AG going again. I think that one has been discussed to the extreme!! And obviously, on a PS based site, the tendancy is going to lean a little toward Paul. But I think most people were pleasantly surprised by the fun everybody had on the recent tour! Back to the "one question to Paul" topic, I would ask Paul: "If you had to choose one song. Just one from all the songs you have written, to be kept for eternity and to be played after all others have stopped being played, whiich song would it be." Or does anybody know which is Paul´s honest to God favourite?

Is it not Graceland? He says so on the Classic Albums show, stating it is almost perfect, only regretting the line "I´m looking at ghosts and empties" and having th Everly Brothers on as it is "too many words" for them.

Hehehe, my cow this is pure insanity and exremely fun to read.

Erm, on the Edie or Carrie question I´m a little torn. I Love Edie´s music but I´m a ex Star Wars freak and Carrie was my only female that I´ve ever had. So, I like her more just because of all those memories. And Carrie and Paul were such a gorgeous couple. Carrie was the prettier of the two girls in her prime.

But Edie´s much better for him.

And Paul is er, or rather was handsome! Artie was kind of good looking in the mid 60´s but that´s it.

Anyways, cheers and thanks for the laugh.
