Haha, that video got me confused now for like a minute.
Who are those people walking in? Why applause for them? Is this the Czech president?
So weird.

Who filmed that? It looks like a private recording of course, but I always wonder why people do that and do it with such a cheap equipment that you can not even see anything on stage. I just see white light on a white stage :-)

You are right, the picture is blurry. To me it is a nice memory. I don't know who filmed it.

I agree totally Matthias - I really enjoyed Prague - felt more of a connection with Paul. Admittedly the first two songs (Graceland & skip slidding away)after the 7 psalms - which I thought was amazing by the way - I was afraid he wouldn’t make it through the show never mind the tour. But after that everything went well. My favourite album has always been Hearts & Bones so delighted there were 3 songs from it! The musicians were their usual brilliant selves and appeared to be really enjoying the concert. Steve Gadd was very funny trying to look between his drum kit to watch the pianist play his Solo! Paul has still a lot to share, Arty is playing on past glory!!!

I bought a VIP seat/package, so this is a last farewell for me to Paul and to the soundtrack of a life (mine).

Happy to be wrong if that's the case (let me judge on May 20!); I am the one to blame for the 'He should stop touring' thing.

Well...most importantly a seat in the first few rows.

But there are a few other little perks like a framed poster of the tour I think.

And I was asking people here about the rest. Maybe a key chain, etc.? Ha ha!

Joke aside, it is about $750-800 in my currency, so it is probably the craziest thing I have done for little Paulo.

Thanks!

Looking forward to tonights' concert in Amsterdam. I read many great reviews about the concerts so far, for Prague, for Berlin, and in the Dutchs newspapers for last wednesday. And one very mean one from Denmark. But who cares. It will be an emotional evening for me anyhow.

Enjoy Rob! Wednesday’s show was fabulous. The Dutch reviews were so spot on!

Thanks Han, I had a wonderful night, though sitting far in the back on the balcony of the hall.
Seven Psalms, played 'uninterrupted' as Paul announced was beautiful. I liked the way he changed a bit of arrangement on my professional opinion and Trail of volcanoes. Those 2 are live better than on the album. The other songs were as beautiful as I know them. For me it is his best work of this century.

After the break the selection of his songs were almost perfect for my personal preferences, with 3 songs of the Hearts and Bones album, and 2 of the most beautiful of Rythm of the Saints. I am still in love with 'the cool, cool river'!
On 'Graceland' I notices that Paul played on his guitar in the middle of an instrumental part the intro riff of the song Hearts and Bones, which is nice to hear, as he mentioned one day that those songs are similar in meaning. I wonder if anyone else notices that?
Something so right was so convincingly beautiful, that I think that many people could relate to it, also if they heard it for the first time.
I felt a lot of gratitude at all of the songs he was playing, that he chose to play them, some as gems I wasn't able to hear before in a live setting.
The Sound of Silence sounded more powerful, convincing, even than in previous concerts and seemed to me his ending statement. He meant it, as he did every word in his lyrics this evening.

One song is missing for a long time now and i wish he would play it again. Born at the right time... it's one of my favorites. I will go to Brussels on thursday. One can dream....

Well……we have two children. On the ‘announcement cards’ we sent when then were born, we used lines from songs from Paul.
When our son was born(1999), we printed some lines from ‘St. Judy’s comet’. So you can understand our excitement when Paul played this last Wednesday. It was the first time we heard this being played live.
When our daughter was born (1997) we used lines from ‘Born at the right time’. It would be utterly perfect if Paul would have played this too. But, alas….Maybe next time :)

It is a nice song, but I doubt that he would sing it.

It has probably become like 'Feeling Groovy' at this point, meaning that it is no longer relevant for the time we are in.

Born At The Right Time was done at the fall of the Berlin Wall, and close to the fall of the USSR.

It was the win of liberalism, of free markets and freedoms.

Now we know that it has not been that dreamy.

Also, nowadays, who could say that one is born at the right time? At the eve of AI and humanoid robots taking over us?! Maybe he will find a cure to cancer sooner, that is true, but...

Long story to say that it does not fit with the times.
