| Bodo, I knew the concert was streaming worldwide but I did not know Paul was going to be a surprise guest to close the NY part of the concert. Joey Berger posted on AMPS about half an hour before that Paul would be on so I went to the stream and recorded Paul's two songs live with softwear I have . Had to convert it down a bit as it was a very big file. Posted the two songs separately . They were the two songs he was going to sing to close the Reopening of NY show which was abandoned due to storms five weeks ago . |

| Could well be Paul's last time at a large venue. I was so lucky to get to record his appearance . Hopefully maybe he will still do the odd benefit with Mark . Hard to believe he is turning 80 in a couple of weeks. I remember listening to him on the radio when I lived in the UK in 1965 . The years are certainly rolling by! |

| Yes I did keep the large file (921mb) Bodo. It also includes the video from Half earth that was show between the two songs. Hoping not too long befor we hear the song Paul has been writing !
Regarding the duets album Edie mentioned it in Feb this year.
" What else do you have on the creative docket these days?
"And then Paul (husband Paul Simon) and I started a duets record awhile back that we never finished, and we’re determined to make that album. So, there’s a lot going on.
What’s the album with Paul going to be like?
Brickell: We’re hoping to make a very beautiful duets record, with beautiful harmonies. Any time anybody sings with Paul it makes them sound so much better; His voice is so beautiful and so soulful. I want it to be all original. I don’t want to just go and pull from the past. I would like to write songs that are beautiful and have a classic sensibility to them -- something new that has a universal sense of time." |
