 | ...as far as I remember there wasn´t such a thing back in 1993, or did I miss anything?
No live CD/VHS except for bootlegs... |

 | Stop complaining!!
If you don´t want to go then stay at home, but don´t spoil it for others! I´ve been waiting for this since I was nine years Old, and I´m sure I´m not the only one.
And I´m saying once again that such a tour will NOT change anything concerning Paul´s or Artie´s solo careers! It´s a ONE-OFF! I´m pretty sure Paul will release his album next year and go on tour again. Remember the last tours? The pattern was duet tour, solo tour (PaulBob,YTO, then PaulBrian and the 2002 tour)
Sorry, no offense intended, but I´m pretty sick of all this negative mood :-( |

 | Yes, it´d be sad if it was only for the money, I had this thought, too (see my posting at AMPS). But what if Paul and Art have no control about the ticket prices?
What if it´s a thing the concert promoters decide? Couldn´t this be possible? |

 | tour for let´s say 2 million $ per concert, then the local concert manager has to take this money from us.
Paul isn´t very cheap, he always get´s 300.000 $ per show, so we had to pay ticket prices around 80 $... |

 | so I´ll make the best out of it.
I´m not happy that the album will come later, and I´m not happy with people saying :"This is the best thing they could do" (In MY OPINION the go the commercial way NOW with a reunion tour..it´s like a ´Take That´ reunion in 2035)
The only thing that would make me happy would be moderate ticket prices (70-90 $) and a really long double show where I see Art and Paul doing their solo works, + a set of S&G songs.
But I would be angry if it´s all about money...

 | I thought it was a free forum where we have the right to say what we think and so, the right to say we are not happy at all about this new reunion and if we don´t use our brain according to you, Tomi, just because we are not agree with you, well, sorry to say that but it seems that the one having problems with his brain is you.
Now, we are just disappointed because Paul seemed to be ready to produce a new solo album (and so, maybe a new tour too), there was his great job on the Wild Thornberries too and the reunion he had with Art for the Grammies was not so fantastic artistically speaking (I felt bad when I have seen the video : they are not the S& G they used to be anymore). So, imagine the "shock" to discover there won´t be the solo album before a long time, that Paul comes back with Art for not very clear reasons (Nostalgy ? That can´t work so long. Money ? That´s very bad. Friendship ? You can become friends again without decide to tour again after so many years). I really don´t see what Paul has to win doing that : in my opinion, his solo work will be affected (it has already been as the solo album is delated)like it was for Hearts And Bones and the Capman and that´s only bad news.

 | It´s OK when you said once that you are not satisfied with reunion. But every day for 100 times, it is really stupid. If you dont like them that is ok, so dont listen and watch them. But stop crying. Paul knows better what he wants then some Nathalie who obviously doesn´t like Artie. |

 | and except of spam or commercial postings I´ll not delete any.
But I hope all people will post in a friendly way, as you do Nathalie :-)
You have spoken out a very interesting point - "You can become friends again without decide to tour".
IMO Paul´s and Art´s friendship always broke during a tour or reunion..after H&B they didn´T speak for years with each other, and after 1993 also.
Remember, JUST LAST YEAR, Paul said in an interview when he was asked about working with Garfunkel. "We gave our last concerts 10 years ago, and it was very frustating for me"...so whats going on now??
IMO Art is not open for new ideas, he is obdurate and always wants to sing all these S&G songs like HE did it the last 30 years.
Paul is an artist, master, Art is only an interpret of these songs - and he can´t do them in any other way, he even can´t think of that.
Look how Paul plays these songs today - Bridge, SOS, I Am A Rock, Cecilia 91, Mrs. Robinson .... wonderful
IMO Paul is in a strange situation at the moment, a writters block ... and he´s searching for other things he could do.
I´m not sure if a reunion tour again for the 3th time now is a good decicion...he was so great the last 4 years, so powerful, FAther and daughter was released, Oscars, Grammys...and has no new ideas than going back to S&G...

 | Hey, I don´t know how Old you are and when you became a fan but let me tell you that I´m 34 now and as been a fan for 21 years so, if you count well, that means I became a fan with Simon AND Garfunkel´s concert in CP and that´s why I can´t support they tour again because I´m sure I won´t be able to find anymore what I have found 21 years ago.
And if I want to give my opinion here 100 times a day, I think (and I hope !) I´m still free to do it (thanks to Bodo )! But if you can´t bear the "bla bla" as you said, don´t come to a forum anymore. |
