| any thoughts on why Paul Simon is only worth a reported 55 million dollars. Dont get me wrong thats a huge amount of money. But considering his 60 years in the industry, being on of the finest singer song writers known to man, owning all intellectual rights to his songs. Revenue from dozens of world tours and one off megga concerts. Compare this to other artist who havent been going five minuets with no talent and dwarfs Simons earning.

| According to the epilogue in the authorised Hilburn Biography Paul's fortune is estimated to be between 200 and 400 million dollars. He told Hilburn he was looking into setting up a foundation to leave much of the money to continue to fund causes important to him. Other estimates of Paul's monetary worth have only been guesses. |

| Those numbers on the internet are just random.
It is true - Paul Simon is one of the few guys who holds ALL his songwriting rights since back in the 1950s. (and thats what brings money - at least before 2000)
The tours up until Graceland have always been a financial desaster.
Considering his low profile lifestyle (beside some nice houses), he has a few 100 millions on bank accounts now. But he keeps that thing private. |
