Does anyone have any idea what will Paul do now? Will he write new songs, make a new CD or tour with Art next spring? I know that Art will have UK tour this year and he always talks about their tours which aren't finished yet... or will Paul retire? .... or will he work on "Capeman return" project?

Don't forget, he is supposed to be helping with that book about his life. So he may spend some time on that. (Although I would prefer he work on songwriting instead!)

yes, it is really time for a new album.
I do not think a S&G tour will ever happen again... I am sure Paul wants to avoid destroying Art Garfunkels voice completely. haha

Would love to see Paul in some smaller and/or outdoor venues again. Or at festivals.

In a BBC radio interview last week Art said that having to sing too loud in the 2009 Australia and Japan tour was probably what caused his voice problems! "You need cooperation from your partner. Tell that to Paul !" Strange as he has been saying for the past 5 years it was a large strand of lobster stuck in his throat a few days after a private concert and that he noticed the problem shortly after in Jan 2010. His voice was fine in Oct 2009 at the R and R hall of Fame concert 4 months after that tour ended. Guess that must rule out another S and G tour ! And Paul is to blame !

Notice the correction statement on comments he made about his manager at the time.

Have read the interview again.

What does Art mean when he says:
It's my attempt to make another "Bridge Over Troubled Water." You can just steal my copyright and call it publicly owned stuff.

To my knowledge that song was written by Paul Simon (music and lyrics). So the copyright should be owned by Paul. Isn't it? Does Art receive copyright royalties for that song today? I am just curious. Could be.

I still can't stand reading anything by Garfunkel. When reading sentences like those, I immediately feel that I have absolute no sympathy for Art Garfunkel. What is wrong with him?

Question:
I guess things get complicated in a friendship that goes back 60 years.

Art Garfunkel:
You're right. It has many wrinkles. Someday I'll let my hair down, not yet, and I'll tell you lots of stuff. And you'll go, "Artie, you were a hell of an accommodator."

I don't think Paul reads them.
I guess that makes Garfunkel even more upset.

The funny thing is - Paul just has a great life, he is making music, playing big arenas, he is still very creative. Garfunkel on the other side is a poor person, showing already clear evidence of insanity and bitternes, like some people do before becoming senile at the age between 85 and 95. Garfunkel is partially - with his mind - living somewhere in the past, somewhere between 1969 and 1971.

It is clear that he is saying crazy things, like the one about his own manager - later he has to step back to the real life and say it was not true. Now, thats a "wow".

For Garfunkel to say that he created a monster is truly pathetic. I agree with the majority of the comments to the article that noted that Garfunkel was truly lucky to have ridden on Paul's talent to fame and wealth. I suppose Paul will be told about this statement. (He's bound to hear about it from someone, don't you think?) If so there will never be another S&G reunion. It's like Ringo saying he created McCartney. Art needs to retire, go for another walk across the globe and go read some more books. He is making a fool of himself.

Ah ah ah , Bodo your last comment made my day!!!

The same thing for me: the more i read his (especially recents) interviews the more he appears to be jealous, vindicative and seems to need to see a doctor, you know a doctor for the big, big heads with strange things inside...

Years ago, i thought his was just a nostalgic type of man, always living in the past, always regretting the past of the late great Simon & Garfunkel.
I couldn't stand his way of victimized himself, you know the bad Paul Simon splited the duo (and never acknowledged that he, AG, had his part of responsabilities in this split), but he, the nice guy was always here to "repair" their friendship! We were accustomed to his little game: he did it for more than 40 years...
But now, it is not in the same level: "he creates a monster": what does it means?!? "The Napoleonic complex": my God, i've always thought he would be the last person to talk about, to make fun of Paul shortness; How can he say that? i don't understand.
Richard said in his comment that AG is really pathetic...i would say, to stay nice, that he is a little funny in his big head with a large ego!
Thankfully, most of the comments of this article (i read them very quickly) seem to conclude the same thing and even the journalist doesn't seem to sympathize with this poor man.

I don't know if Paul is aware of Garfunkel's last declarations but if he is, i'm sure he must be more sad and tired of all this stuff than angry..

Yes, his words are really strange. So far I continued to defend him, but then it becomes impossible
