| @Bodo- Me too! I can think of no one who deserves it more!! Thanks for all you do for the Paul Simon loving community Bodo! Hopefully all the advance vids here (1/4 of the show itself now with 5 out of 20 songs out there) will help with the wait.
I've watched it twice now myself & am just blown away. I just adored this tour!! I got to catch 5 shows (would have done a couple in the Fall leg, but was sure he was going to play NYC at the holidays & waited for those dates, which never happened...still surprised about that...) on that tour & would do that many again, if possible, whenever he tours again (hopefully soon.)...
I was lucky enough to have this show be one of the ones I saw (the last one in fact- along with 2 in Toronto & 2 in Philly) & it's a slightly bittersweet experience watching it...mostly sweet because it's literally so incredible (his best such release since his solo early 90's Concert In Central Park release), but also one can't help but think of the 25% of the show that got sadly edited out...
I know you'll LOVE this!! I'm sure I'll be watching again this week myself!! Listening to the CDs in my car all the time too...have a road trip to see Ian Hunter in Cleveland this week, & visit the Rock 'n' Roll Hall Of Fame with two buddies of mine who are both big Paul Simon fans & the new double live is on the top of our road trip soundtrack list!! |
