This is maybe not the most flattering review of the re-issues. Basically says the 1972 Paul Simon was the best and next 2 releases have deteriorated from there. And to top it off really doesn´t see much merit in the 1974 Live Rhymin release.
These 4 1970´s releases I Love and I don´t see it as a case of diminishing returns - just different styles.
I must say it is a well thought out review in that he explains in great detail why he sees the 1972 album as his best solo work of that decade.
I just love Still Crazy and think it is finely crafted. That said, it was a luck winner of the 1975 Grammy. I mean, how could Dylan´s Blood on the Tracks not even get a nomination?
