 | Patata did put up links to each video clip in HD, which is incredible quality:

 | Yes Mike, I know. What I am asking (and Bodo too, as I understand it), is if the full concert in that same high quality could be made available as one file... |

 | I wasn´t sure if I should upload the 720p version as one file, since it has ~6GB. In fact I already tried to upload that file and ran out of space on my vServer (that´s why it was offline for a while). Anyway. The 720p clips and the 720p full version still don´t have the best possible quality. It seems that the codec i´ve used reduces the bitrate for dark scenes too much, so they don´t really look that good.
So of anyone has a good suggestion for a codec / converter, I could encode the Fraps version once again and upload it as one large file. |

 | Unfortunately I am no expert on codec/converter but what you did already for us is very much appreciated. I watched the videoclips in one piece and Love the performance very much. The seperated files are also easier to make a DVD out of it. It doesn´t bother me that some spoken words from Paul are filmed twice. It is just great to be able to see this concert in such good quality.
Patata, are you on Facebook? There is a Paul Simon group A.M.P.S. We would love it if you want to join us there also.

 | Hi Patata
I could give you access to my vserver. 6GB should be okay there, I have 1000GB transfer per month.
About the codec...I am really not into that codec thing anymore since the last 2-3 years, but HD is definately better than a DVD anyway, thats right. (Sorry, I first was refering to the youtube clips, they definately look unsharp compared to your avi download-files, so I would say the picture quality is very very good now...)
What codec did you use? Is divx /xvid in the highest quality settings not the best anylonger?
What is the original codec you have - the 6GB file?
If you want, just send me an email, I give you access to my vserver and you upload the file there.
BTW: Did you also re-encode the audio?
For my personal taste the audio is remixed a little bit rough, too much bass? or maybe Pauls voice a little bit too loud in comparison to the instruments/guitars..? Whatever it is, think for example the BBC 2006 sound is much better (or my memory tells me that the sound remix in Dublin was better ;-) ) |

 | Really thank you patata!
I was not even here, and really hoped someone would record it. Would not even know how to save those iTunes things...
BTW: Did anyone had the chance to recorde the ´extra´ songs from the BBC2 concert? |

This is the 4,7 Go DVD in NTSC, for those interested.
Burn these files (after unziped) on a DVD-R and voilà. Simple menu. However, please note the image reveals easily its limitations if you have an HD set, although the sound is good (Dolby Digital, 192 kbps).
I could work on a real DVD later this week and upload it. I mean, one with iDVD (with a professional menu), with full quality. It will require a double surface DVD, obviously. |

 | I thought Julie had already posted the amps link when we started it. But we can put it in a new thread if you like - I didn´t want to look like we were ´stealing´ people from this forum. We´d never do that - you do a great job, and there are lots of friends on here. |
