Just seen the coverage of Paul Simon´s appearance at Glastonbury on BBC2 (UK TV Station.
Set List
1: The Boy In The Bubble
2: 50 Ways To Leave Your Lover
3: Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes
4: Gumboots
5: Kodachrome
6: Gone At Last
7: You Can Call Me Al
There was no new songs from So Beautiful Or So What. Nor was there any Simon and Garfunkel songs.
Between the 2nd song and the 3rd song the BBC hosts Mark Radclife and Jo Whiley chatted to Paul. He explained about the set list being different as its Glastonbury. Also Paul said he had a bad voice these last two days.
Aside from this a great set. Paul also told the viewers he enjoyed the smaller venues on the tour.
I look forward to reading everyone´s comments about the Glastonbury Show.
In the meantime I thank you for reading my posting.

 | Don´t think it was the full set that they showed because in the interview he said something about He should have dropped the ballads. |

 | There is still footage from the set playing on the red button. You can add "That Was Your Mother" and "The Obvious Child" to the above list.
Hopefully somebody is recording it all? I recorded the main performances but not the red button stuff. |

 | --- agree with you there (useless audience).
I felt sorry for PS and with having a bad throat to contend with.
Some idiot presenter on the BBC also said something like "PS looks so uninterested when he performs" --- to think that in the UK we have no option but to pay £120 / year to fund the BBC...
Simon. |

It is disappointing that the BBC did not show the full set list. Thanks to the forum members we know the full set list. Obviously due to time we saw a smaller performance on BBC2.
Therefore I thank you all for including the links to an extended performance of Paul at Glastonbury. Again all though longer it still omitted some of the songs. None the less the extra songs such as The Obvious Child was worth it.
I wounder if this will be added as a bonus feature on any Paul Simon Live DVD of the current tour. I hope so.
Once again thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts on Glastonbury. |
