 | I´d like to know if Simon is likely to do more concerts in 2011 (after July 15). I´m capable of going anywhere to watch his concert...but only after July,15 (my vacations only begin after that).
Thanks everybody!

 | I don´t think so.
I even wonder why he is touring so much this year. When did he do so many concerts in a row the last time...1999(?) I think even 1999 was a shorter summer tour (June-July, and 2nd short leg in September)
Think this could be the longest time he is touring since 1991 (?)...the gap between USA and Europe is only 2 weeks now, thats not a real gap, they need some time to fly to Europe with all the equipment.
I wonder what those people from Warner in spain knew about Paul visiting the country. Maybe just for vacation later in summer. Hehe, how unfair is that, tour for 4 months, and then visit another country you never tour for vacation. |

 | With Paul turning 70 this year i don´t think he will go on tour very much so perhaps that is why he is touring so much this year...... Perhaps the 15 dates he planned with Art later this year or in the beginning of 2012 but after that....... We will have to wait for a new solo album. That will take 4-5 years... Than he will be 75 and i do not see him going on tour when he´s 75...
I´m almost sure that this is going to be the last time Paul does a big tour. I surely do not expect him to give concerts in Europe anytime soon when this tour is over.....
What do you think? |

 | @Lincoln Suesdek: Maybe it is too much close to 15th and too far from Brasil but on july 17th he will be in Italy. |

 | I saw Andy Williams a few years back, touring the UK at age 80 - so it is possible.
And when Simon & Garfunkel performed in Hyde Park in 2004 after not performing in London for over 20 years, Paul left the stage saying ´see you when we´re 80´.
So it is difficult to predict when he might tour again.
I first saw Paul Simon in May 1991 and then had to wait until October 2000 to see him again, largely due to the time spent working on The Capeman. Since then, and partly because I have been lucky enough to travel, I have seen him (solo or with Art) in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008 (three times) and will see him in 2011 (twice).
So if the last decade has been anything to go by, the tours are far more frequent than the album releases. The 2008 UK & Europe tour was a solo trip which didn´t coincide with an album release.
If it were not for the difficulty in getting tickets and Art´s loss of voice, I also would have seen them in 2009 (New Zealand) and 2010 (Toronto, Canada) as well. |

 | Just a quick look and I see Willie Nelson , age 78 has a
long tour going on right now and Tony Bennett I think is 85
and I was shocked at his schedule. I´m sure there are many
more out there. |

 | Very true. I´m sure he´ll continue touring, and I wouldn´t be too upset if he shortened tours in the future as long as he varied the locations. That would cater to everyone.
All we can hope for is that Paul Simon doesn´t pull an Everly Brothers and just call it quits to the music business. I dream of the day I can see The Everlys in concert. |

 | and of course there is Leonard Cohen who only started touring in his mid 70´s and then did 3 long tours in row. |
