This was the most perfect and interesting interview I ever heard with Paul Simon and the songs fitted also perfectly.

Thanks, it works her in the States. The discussions about the 1950´s is extremely interesting.

How absolutely wonderful -- thanks so much for sharing! I can hear the Bo Diddley/Mystery Train influence on the new album. I had never heard the 50´s song, "Hey Schoolgirl," although I´d read about it -- very cute and bouncy. The Old version of "Sounds Of Silence" is like someone walking on my grave -- seems like just yesterday when I lived in my parents´ house and Mr. Simon´s voice still sounded so young. Y´all give a listen if you haven´t already -- it works fine in U.S. though about 1:20 of the hapless bin Laden and weather report before it begins.

Thank you Sue for letting me know about it ! wasn´t it one of the most interesting interviews ? And great songs. BBC are still the best. I Love all of their interviews with Paul over the years.

Someone should do a story on Judith Piepe (woman in London he was talking about). Try Googling her name -- quite fascinating.

there is quite a bit about her (Judith) in paul simons biography and also in a biography about Al Stewart who she introduced to Paul
