 | Good find!
But I think it´s getting deeper what he´s talking about.
To notice the changes is one thing, to do something about it it´s completely different. You have to move your ass. You have to be unpleasent. You have to stand your ground! ;-)
It´s getting easier when you´re organized, under like-minded people. |

 | I took "Maple trees just a little bit duller
Than the memory of the year before" to mean that sometimes our memories of things are a lot more beautiful than they actually were in reality. Like visiting a home town after so many years, the memory is a lot more vibrant than the present reality.
Everyone to their own interpretation though. Songwriting can be a passive or an active process. |

 | Interesting of course. I like what Mike wrote anyway much better, but the words from the article fit good.
I think it could be true in booth ways, Paul of course might know about that discussion and have read or heard about it, talked with scientists, anyway he might have taken those words as a methapher, for that what Mike said. Or let´s say for our memories, in our memories everything in the past was better, looked better...even the leafs of maple trees might have been looking better in your memories... and Kodachrome gave us those bright colors, and now we even do not have Kodachrome anylonger . |
