I have just started to have a problem using this website using Internet Explorer8.

When I select the site from my favourites it loads up correctly but then immediately goes on to add modify with the details below - something about fragment. And when it completes this the page dissapears and goes all white.

http://www.paul-simon.info/?fb_xd_fragment#?=&
cb=f30164039342424&relation=parent.parent&
transport=fragment&type=resize&height=20&a
mp;ackData[id]=1&width=100

Can anyone advise what is happening and how to stop the redirection to this fragment stuff?

I have only got to the website via Mozilla Firefox - and would prefer to keep using Internet Explorer.

fb means facebook.

BTW: Can you check how the link in your favourites is named exactly? (the URL?)

I guess your favourite link has some extra parameters, which start to forward the page

Strange.... I had the same problem ; it began yesterday and I didn´t know what to do. So Nath, from the frenh forum, suggests me to use Firefox and, now, this is OK.
Don´t know what happens with I.E ???

It is a bug in IE...as usually.

But I should get rid of it better...

ok, I fixed it...

Does that only happen if you use the favourites?

I have add something to the page which prevents IE to forward it, but I have only add that to the main page at the moment.
So maybe this error will come back if you put the forum to your favourites, or any other page. Let me know. I have to add this code to every other page too then...

It happened by both ways : via my favourites (http://www.paul-simon.info/)or searching "the neck of my guitar" via Google.
Now, I´m connecting through I.E. (to see...) but it´s slower than through Firefox.
Thanks again Bodo for your work !

I stopped using IE (and also stopped using Firefox), because Google chrome is so much faster.

IE is in general very slow (surfing), while Firefox just takes ages to start (ok not ages, but at least 30 seconds). I do not know why, maybe my configuration is wrong. Google Chrom is very fast on all those things.

I have tested it with IE8 yesterday.

First I had the same problem as Gerard.

After I changed some code, I do not get the error now.

Hi Bodo,

Is there anyway the site can be adapted for use on smart phones but only if it doesn´t upset the present format on computers. Its just very hard to control the arrows for scrolling up and down on the long threads. Thanks
