Well US amazon.com (expedited shipping) beats cdwow Germany - CD arrived this morning!
What a difference to hear the album through a decent CD/amp/speaker comb (NAD/Cyrus/B&W if anyone cares!)
Fantastic work - For me, this easily trumps ´Surprise´ which I felt PS was never truly happy with... All I can say is, "bop-bop, a-whoa" I got it! |

 | Have been trying to buy the limited edition de luxe edition boxed set of which they guarantee only one thousand copies made ,which can only be ordered from paulsimon.com. at a cost of 99 US dollars, for a few weeks now and it was only available in North America. A couple of days ago received an e mail from Paul´s website telling me it was now available in my country{Australia} and to just click on the map. Did so and was directed to Universal Music in the UK. Ordered it and only just noticed after that it was 99 GBP which is approx 152 Australian dollars plus 25 pounds delivery ,a total of nearly 191 Aussie dollars. If they would let me order from the States the set would be 98 Aussie dollars. This is a huge difference. Luckily I noticed it and cancelled the order. I just cannot understand the huge difference in pricing and also the same amount 99 is very deceptive. They also said it would not be available until June but currently Paul´s Facebook page is saying be quick to order as fast running out and definitely no more would be made! So Crazy Or So What is the marketing of this album. Glad no one running the website is involved in the tour,

If I remember right the Price in Europe is also 129 Euros, and calculated back to USD this is around 190 USD.
Yes, they are crazy. But that is the usual price marketing
Amazon.DE wants 20 Euros for the deluxe edition
AMAZON.COM 15 USD ...difference do Germany: 14 USD - so the price is nearly twice as high.
Either we are really that rich, or the USA are completely broke.
I do not think you need that thing either. A framed copy of some lyrics-sheet...for 70 USD...or 160 Euros? (most already have the deluxe edition)

 | I agree. I Love these boxsets but there´s nothing really spectacular in this box (compare this to, say, Pearl Jam´s Ten-box) and it´s way overpriced.
I will buy the vinyl version. Together I´ll spend about 35 euro´s for the deluxe version and the vinyl version. That means that the frame, the lyric sheet and the litho (just a piece of paper) together is worthed around 94 euro´s... No I´m not that crazy. |

| Thanks Guys, You are so right. I will forget about it and just try to get the vinyl album and frame it. The box set is really so overpriced, Thank God I realized in tine it was 99 pounds and not dollars and got to cancel it. But what really annoys me is what a coincidence Universal used the same figure of 99 in their pricing. Could easily confuse people ordering from overseas. |

Anyway, the Euro price seems to be gone now, can´t find it.
Yeah I will see if I get the LP and can frame it, up till now they do not ship the LP to Europe (again it will cost 24 Euros then, and not 19 USD...which are 14 Euros or less) |
