 | According to Hits Daily Double, according to first day sales, Paul´s album will likely sell between 55,000-60,000 the first week, slighly behind the new album by Alison Krauss.

Other albums on tap to make a top 10 bow next week include Krauss and Union Station´s "Paper Airplane," Jessie J´s debut set "Who You Are," Paul Simon´s Phil Ramone-produced "So Beautiful Or So What" and Mana´s "Drama Y Luz."

 | Well from the article...it looks like #2 & #3 are distant from #1, but that Paul should finish in #3 position- which is no small thing in this era. How long he´ll be able to sustain any momentum is another thing altogether.
I think this will do better than any album since 1990, but how much better is the question.
The bottom line is it´s a brilliant masterpiece, and some nice sales would be icing on the cake...& just desserts as well. |

 | The biggest reason for the high chart position is of course that many young people don´t buy any albums anymmore. This has a relatively positive effect on Old-timers like Paul Simon, Neil Diamond, whose fans are still more into buying a physical disc then young people are.
If I calculate correctly, 1 person out of 5000 bought the album in the U.S. the first week!
