 | Hi
As far as I can see the following concerts have non seated audience in front of the stage, right?
Cork
Berlin
and probably Montreux (how was that in 2002?)
I found tickets for Cork for around 71 Euros, is that the right price? (I also found some for 160 Pounds, but that might be some special deal which delivers you a cup of tea before the show...or whatever)

 | Yes Bodo that´s correct. £70 is about right for Cork.
I will try to go to Berlin I think but need to get the time from work - how much are tickets there?
There is standing in London but it´s not in front of the stage. |

 | Seatwave should [...]
Berlin is 71 Euros, thats a good price too.
Well, Berlin would just be a city trip for me. If I would fly to Ireland I want to stay there for 7-10 days.
I have to decide which one is better.
Was the beer drinking and singin along the songs in Cork very annoying? It sounds like fun, if the people are not all drunk completely...lie a lie la lie laaaa |

 | In Montreux there was standing room behind about 20 rows of seats. So technically it is in front of the stage, but not close to it... there are about 800 heads between you and the stage :o) |

 | A standing room behind seats... yeah. |

 | I agree, it is unusual. I was a little upset when I entered the hall and realised that the standing room area is behind rows of seats.
But it wasn´t so bad after all as I was standing directly behind the seats, in the front row of the standing room, so to speak.
Look at it that way:
Imagine you´re at a concert without seats and you´re about 20 meters away from the stage, and everyone in front of you decides to sit down, but you can remain standing and dancing...

 | well, if you are going to have seats, they better be in front of the non-seated section, or those in seats ain´t gonna see much |

 | What´s the big deal here - we "sat" in Birmingham (UK) in 2006 to start with and in the end we stood right at the front (our son sat on the stage) and we all shook hands and spoke to PS. We´ve been going to PS / S&G shows since 1982 - it´s simple just get seats close to the front and you´re normally allowed to stand at the front at some point.

 | this sounds pretty good. The rest of us humans feel lucky just to get the chance to pay 150 bucks for a seat in the back of the balcony. |

 | Hi Simon
I did not enjoy it much in London, when the security made us sit down again.
Usually you are allowed to stand up at about the half or 2/3 of the show, in London it was song Nr 15 or 16 from the setlist.
2nd point is, I hate to run for high priced first row tickets. I enjo it much more to wait with some of you real fans a few hours before the show.
I learned that especially in the last few years first row tickets are not always sold to the fans, they wait for some good deals.
I think in general the audience at non seated venues is very different. Some might even not decide to go to a concert when they see they have to stand.
Sitting at a concert gives me the feeling of sitting in a church... |

 | Cork was good as Rosie said, Nobody really drunk. However I was about 10 "rows" standing and there was a lot of talking especially behind me and in the seated area, during the quieter and more recent songs. A lot of shouting for The Boxer as well as well as other S&G songs |
