 | This is great news to those of us who are fans of The Beach Boys. The 1967 album that never came about will finally be released. That´s right: SMiLE
There´s been speculation for years about its finalization and a little this year but here´s the official press release.

 | That´s good news on so many fronts. It´s great that the original "Smile" sessions will be released, although I thought Brian´s solo "Smile" CD blew away the various b00tlegs I had heard from the Beach Boys´ sessions. It´s good to know that Brian has finally conquered the internal demons that kept him from finishing this project for almost 45 years. And hearing not just the completed album but the various session tracks - sort of like the "Pet Sounds" box set - will be an amazing look into Brian´s creative process |

 | It will be a good year for music indeed. I´ve always thought that the SMiLE version of "Surfs Up" was much better than the one they eventually released, and a fully remastered "Heroes and Villians" with the Cantina scene will be heaven. |
