 | I got tickets yesterday with American Express for the Chicago Theatre. I like that he is doing the smaller venues this time. American Express is worth it just for concert tickets. It is too bad, but thats the way it is, like it or not.

 | i Wasn´t offered anything in 3 venues
in the gold seats and I would never sit
anywhere further back. American Express
could have picked anyone else, but no
they did it to me again. I could not get into an event a few years ago because it was for Amercian Express only, and it was an event that would
never be repeated. Smaller venues is
great if there is equal access. |

 | I can´t begin to afford gold or silver packages. I am much too poor. I´m lucky I don´t have to sit in the alley but I did get pretty good seats. |

 | I can begin to afford them, I guess, but I am not going to. I don´t think concert tickets should cost 150 or 400 dollars just because you want a good seat, and regardless of their tossing in some special merchandise. I understand all about maybe the last chance to see a living legend and so on, but this shuts out too many real fans. I really want to see this show, but I am not going to support this kind of pricing that shuts out everyone who doesn´t have hundreds of dollars lying around to blow on a concert. Well, promoting and putting on a concert is expensive and the blah blah blah, ...give everyone who supports you a real chance to see you Paul! (I know Paul probably does not read this forum) I´ll try Sunday for normal ticks, if I can get ok ones at an ok price, I´ll go for it |

 | somehow with all that is happening in the world, the tsunami in Japan, north African unrest, banks in chaos, I think american Express has more to think about than preventing individuals getting front row seats to see Mr Paul Simon. in my very humble opinion!! |

 | Scatty, do you think the managers at American Express are meeting even now to decide what they can do to save Japan or alleviate the unrest in Libya? |

 | probably not to help more worried about the effect these events have on the rest of the world. but I certainly don´t think concert goers are on top of their list
Just trying to put things into perspective as I think the world is going through a very rough time at the moment. |

 | I´m in row N at the Chicago theatre in Chicago. It is quite a smaall venue so there are no really bad seats. For a person who lives on a little over $1000 a month they are great. |

 | I agree with you forum guest, the prices are way too high and you don´t get much of anything for paying such
high prices. I´m not rich, but long ago
I started a "mad money" fund which was
only for fun things and it just added
up, so I was able to get tickets to the
S&G tour last year and they were good
tickets, but it never happened. I thought there was something wrong with my computer when everyplace I tried for Paul they said no tickets
available. |

 | Well...artists.
Now they search for excuses why the sang at prive parties for Mr. Gaddafi.
No not Paul.
The last income he has are concert tickets now. Album sales are worth nothing. I understand him. But personally I am not paying more than 100$. Lets see what the prices will be in Europe - people start to be used to pay 100-200 Euros.
But all in all they will visit less concerts and pay more for 1 ticket, so in the end some artists will loose.

 | In Cork the tickets are 60 Euro for standing and 70.70 for seating. this does not include admin charges by ticketmaster which are usually 6 euro per ticket.
The standing area is directly in front of the stage. However the elder berry I´m travelling with wants a seat as it gets very warm in the Marquee. |
