 | There are no presale tickets that I
can find. Been here for 1 1/2 hours, last year ticketmaster took calls by how long you had been waiting.
If they are only doing American Express
I will kill them. Or scalpers for that
matter. |

 | Cher-the only presale is for AE card holders-so far the ticket prices for FOxwoods in Connecticut are $350 fro "front row", a separate category, $275 for gold package, 230 for silver package and it looks like $125 for orchestra seats. Have to say, the presales were slower than for James Taylor or S&G. I did not get on till 10;10 as I was caught up on the phone and there were many selection in orchestra (V row being the offered best selection at that time). Yet James Taylor I was shut out by 10:03!
Do not despair Cher-AE only gets certain seats for presale, not a block, so you can still get good selections on the regular sale day or go for the higher price selection immediately. |

 | Thanks Barb, What do you get for those
gold or silver packages? I didn´t even
see any of them. I still don´t like the
idea, I kept track of what the offered
for awhile and I only missed one thing
I was desperate to see so it wasn´t
worth switching. |

 | I sprang for the silver package for a Leonard Cohen concert and it was well worth it. Dead center, first real seat (two rows of folding chairs in front of me.) So I bought the silver this time for PS in Connecticut. The seats are okay, first row behind the Orchestra, dead center. Since it costs me $1500 in airfare and hotel to get there from the Caribbean, the $250 ticket price is worth it to me. You also usually get some little cheap trinket. (However with Cohen it was a tour program and a very nice blanket.) |

 | hi Richard are you going to foxwoods also? Are you in that shaded VIP area on the seating chart? Row V is fairly close to there-but I would really like to get good seats to Beacon
Were you coming to the first S&G concert go-round? I just recall expensive hotel/flight costs for some folks and wonder if they ever got their money back. I lost $100 something from Canada hotel |

 | Barb, they say Front Row Center buy
now, but you can´t. I don´t know if they are all sold out or they save some
for the regular date, Saturday. In front of Row AA are 4 rows of pit
seats, maybe row AAA is really the front row. I never saw the pit area
available for customers. |

 | I went to a Gordon Lightfoot concert where it was in the pit area in Shea´s Theatre in Buffalo. It was fantastic. Unfortunately to get such front row access to a Paul Simon show is over 3x the price. |

 | You know, I hate to sound grumpy but.. I really wasn´t that thrilled with the last couple of Paul concerts I went to. I felt the pacing was not well conceived, just when the crowd started getting into it he´d play something to get them all seated again. Maybe I´ve heard some of these songs too many times, I wasn´t all that taken with another go round of Train In The Distance. I just feel as a performer, he is too split between completely incompatible genres with his rock songs and his slower music. Also, he makes a lot of kind of weird hand motions.
But! I Love the song so beautiful or so what. I think I will save $150 bucks plus and listen to it on the cd. |

 | Hi Grumpy guest-I Love the S*G sound, not so much Paul by himself but I thought he usually put on a good show. But then again, I am not a leap to my feet and bounce around concert goer. However, this time he is quoted as saying that he is playing songs he does not usually play in concert, so I thought I would give it a whirl. And, being of his generation, I think that he will soon hang up his travelling guitar. I do not know if you have a seen a video (I think it might have been a dutch comedian?) of S*G with walkers and acting senile-I figure even if they live to be 100, they will not be going through the stress of touring. So maybe I am seeing these concerts as a last gasp. Certainly I felt that way about the last intended tour of S&G and, that´s what happened-last gasp. |

 | I think you should notice/consider too the audience. We boomers aren´t ´on your feet´ goovin´ types anymore.
There´s a bootleg of a Simon Texas stop (I think): he says well it took you a while to get up! But any concert I´ve been to in the past 10 - 12 yrs. the young/crowd he draws (always happy to see) is up and dancing. |

 | Hi Barb, I am going to Foxwoods and will be seated in row GG on the center aisle. That is one row behind the shaded VIP area. Although I am from NYC and I really wanted to see him at the Beacon, after the struggle to get seats when he played Radio City, I decided to opt for an out of town venue.
I am one of those fans that listens more than dances, being 53. (But my first S&G concert was 44 years ago, so I am a long, long, long, time fan!) |

 | I Love Paul´s solo shows. Paul had always a mix of dance and listening songs in his shows. Look at CP 91, You´re The One in 2000.
I hope there will be a DVD of this tour, with enough songs of SBOSW and some Old songs like "Peace Like A River". He will be 2 nights at The Beacon which is a perfect location for a live concert DVD. We should offer him a petition :)
