 | ok, I couldn´t resist. Tho the Deluxe package is ordered, I couldn´t resist seeing it at my local theater.
It was well done. You will all enjoy. It really captures the crafting of the album, side stories on Songs of America. Captures the career friendship, creativity, and the times. The interviews flow nicely one to the other.
things I didn´t know: Boxer partly done at the chapel of Columbia University (along with the famous elevator shaft). And So Long FLW: I always thought it was paul doing the ´so long already Artie´ - it was Roy Halee. And paul acknowledging Cecilia as the patron of music.
Very nice 70 minutes - all of 20 people in the theater (2nd to last show, on the last of 4 nights).

 | I´m at a restaurant outside the theatre. Very good film; my only criticism is that it´s very short on period piece video. Most of the video is in the "Songs For America" special and some is put together from the same film that was used for the "I Am A Rock" video from early 2000´s. But the interviews with Paul, Art, Roy Halee - and especially Hal Blaine and Joe Osborne - were great. Best line of the movie: After Art says that he, Paul, Eddie Simon and Stewie Scharff were pounding out the rhythm to "Cecilia" for "hours" - Paul says "well, maybe we lost track of time....." |

 | Yes - substantially the same. Funny but there are pieces not in the Harmony Game. This is a bit of cut and past. I think HG skipped Why Don´t You Write Me. Also no mention of the airline distress bag in HG. |
