 | Anybody heard anything about this? I read about it on the Steve Hoffman Forum, here...(in post #123)

And then googled & found this...

Here was my response to the post on the Steve Hoffman Forum...
"WOW! Now that is interesting! I wish I knew what that "bonus track", or "bonus tracks", was/were? I´m hopeful , but honestly doubtful...
The only place I could find anything out was at this link...
(**- note it´s the same link as I posted above)
Is that where you found it too? If not, PLEASE provide a link.
My concern is...the "bonus track(s)" they are talking about is/are merely what is on the DVD of the deluxe edition. Or I also might wonder if it was just maybe the previously released alternate version of "Questions For The Angels" (which I´ve already got as a download).
Now if there are any what I´d call "real bonus tracks"- such as other songs done from the sessions that aren´t anywhere else, then I´d snap this up in a second.
The reason I´m kind of doubting this is...Paul Simon doesn´t work that fast as this point in his career- in ´06 we got "Surprise" which had 11 tracks, and one was a song (Father & Daughter) from 4 years earlier. Now we are seeing 10 songs on this particular album, wherein one is kind of a shorter instrumental that he gave away to someone previously (within the last year or two- best of my knowledge it was in ´09) & I´m just kind of doubting that he had another song in the can & ready to go...although this is certainly possible...I await the details..."

 | On this Japanese CD store http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=UCCO- 3023 they say the bonus tracks are "expected". To me that sort of hints that typically when they release a CD in Japan they throw some extras on, but Nobody has confirmed if this CD will have anything or what it will have.
It do say the album will have liner notes by Elvis Costello, which makes sense as he´s on the same (Hear Music) label. |
