 | My name is Yair, and I am just a regular seventeen-year-Old boy. My parents taught me to Love your music, and that is how I met the girl I love named Rachel. We both love your music more than you can imagine`we bond over it and we have gotten close through it. The thing is that Rachel does not know that I love her, and I am nervous to ask her out to our school dance. I really like Rachel, and I was wondering if you could help me ask her out to the dance. There is nothing more in the world that I want than to be with her, and I was hoping that you could help me. I was thinking of making a movie, maybe singing, to ask her out. I do not have a good voice, but she loves yours. She loves your song, Kathy`s song, and I could not express how much it would mean to me if we could somehow make a video for her with that song. I hope you can find time to help me out.

 | Hey bud, haha reminds me of when I asked a girl to prom by playing a rewritten "Catch The Wind" by Donovan on guitar. If you´re nervous just write a poem out on a card with your favorite lyrics to Kathy´s song and add a message with it. Stuff it in her locker and meet her there when she gets it.
Did this forum just become an advice column? |

 | Your heart beats faster when you think about her. The thought of talking to her makes you breathless. The more you tell yourself that she´s not a goddess and that she´s no different from your friends, the more you realize how much of a goddess she is. But what you don´t know is that she´s incredibly insecure - even more than you are. Music is her outlet, the one thing in life that makes her feel special. You can *be* her music - just let her know that you think she´s a very special person. Look her in the eye and say it from the heart. The worst that can happen is she laughs and walks away - and that would hurt. BUT the best is that she says "I was hoping you´d say that" and nothing can beat that. Just remember - in the words of Steve Forbett - "you cannot win if you do not play." |

 | I definately would be more nervous if I could make a video with Paul.... asking a girl going out with me would be nothing compared to that (sorry all girls on board, but I hope for your understanding :-D )
Maybe because the video thing never happened, and I am pretty sure will never happen. Its all from different viewpoints. |
