 | well, I kind of thought his voice seemed a little labored on many parts, if you completely ignore his age. Other parts I thought his singing sounded very good, when in his range.
the guitar playing, well, its enough to make you want to toss your guitars out the back door. Paul has always had, and still has, this amazing ability go to back and forth from strumming to picking, just great, he does this in Peace Like A River. When I tried to learn that song, in drop d tuning, it was pretty hard, and it sure didn´t sound like that! |

 | in questions for the angels, as much as I like the opening parts of the song, I really don´t like the part about Jay Z, either the words or the music. Did Paul have anything to say about it during the interview portion of the show? |

 | Sorry, but you can not blame Paul on anything there. I would say the technical equipment there is everything - but not for recording a song. |

 | Yeah it was one of those settings where the microphones weren´t all that great. The bad sound was mostly feedback and you could tell during "Peace Like A River" he noticed it and turned his head when he sang a louder part. |

 | on the Jay Z question - yes. He said the song really turns at that point Symbolically having crossed the bridge and progressed from personal questions, to societal, finally setting up the ´every human´ question. Really interesting.
On Love in Hard Times - I really prefer the snippet of new album with piano accompaniment to the guitar. |

 | It wasn´t feedback, it was distortion. The mics were much more sensitive than they needed to be. |
